Ngl, the Tim Curry news in particular hurts. He had the kind of infectious personality that always made him entertaining to watch.

I’m kinda in dire straits, if anyone needs any voice acting stuffs, I’m open for commissions or projects, anything! I need some help making my big monthly bill.

We’re stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Financially we’re cooked, we’re just getting bills and necessities paid. And I am really reluctant to push for more orders since I’m already so backed up and my health, my wife’s health and pregnancy, my kids’ health and other events have kept pushing back productivity and making things slower. I’m at a spot where I’ll be shipping out a good chunk of orders and I’m good on materials for a bit, thank God, but business has cratered this summer.
I wanted the Sword of Liberty to get enough orders I could hire skilled part time help. It didn’t. Less than half the pre-order amount sold and not quick enough to get the capital needed to do the things I wanted to make the process faster.
Recent donations are still getting my wife chiropractic help as she nears delivery for our son and for that I’m wildly grateful.
I’m grateful for every order, every single dollar people have spent on our business.
I believe I make the best handmade wooden swords in the business, and the best kid’s swords by far.
I’m just at the end of my rope here and don’t know what else to do. I’ll keep working, keep making, keep fulfilling orders, but the business is hanging on by a thread.
Spiderman: Brand New Day was great!
Really good to see Holland come into his own as a more mature and heartfelt Spidey wrestling with his own duality.
Easily my favorite live action Spidey film since 3

Well I'm furious I have to do this again.
Our toilet's fucked. Majorly fucked and nothing we've been able to do has helped. We're gonna have to hire a plumber but everyone in the house is broke. If you like what I do, please consider leaving a tip.

If you're ok with "bullying"
Not "reasoning with"
Not "debating"
Not "boycotting"
Not "protesting"
And not "unfollowing"
But "bullying" to get your point across?
Don't care how righteous a cause it is, I dont trust you.
McDonalds specialty meals are like...the weirdest thing. Instead of adding anything new they just go:
"Oh yes. Try the new Bad Bunny Meal! He likes eating only 5 and 1/2 chicken nuggets and combining it with a Hi-c and Vanilla shake, that'll be 19.99!"

🎨 CELSIUS STRAYS - FIRST REF 🎨
Feel free to draw the characters and post on socials and/or our Discord. We'll have a fanart extras category in-game someday!
Surprise! This is what I've been working on the past two years. Thrilled to finally announce it to the public.
Please check out the demo, share it around, and leave a review if you can!
Resident Evil: Requiem is a great game. Both a Love letter to the franchise as a whole and great step forward in terms of character writing for the series.
Easily in my top 5 Res games...possibly top 3. Have to mull on it a little more.

Hey! So callback to a previous post, I have been creating a voice actor database to share with clients in future jobs that come my way. If you're interested, send your resume and demos to [email protected]! Would love to hear what the VO community has to offer ^^

You can still have a successful career as a remote voice actor.
I’m seeing a lot of people stressing out and getting upset about the decrease in remote jobs lately, which is completely valid. BUT, don’t lose all hope.
Here’s a list of indie studios/people that cast remotely!:

So my bank account is the negatives by 220 thanks to bills.
Anyone need some voice acting done for an indie animation or game?
Or maybe a comic dub or some kind of other video edited?
Id really like to try and get this taken care of xD

It is not "conservative" to reflexively and uncritically defend state use of lethal force against a citizen. There's a word for that reflex; conservative is not that word.
I think Philip K Dick should have changed it from "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" To "Can Androids Successfully Complete the Captcha?"

Some perspective I think a lot of newer and even not so new VO folks need to hear:
One thing they don't tell you when you are a new voice actor that you absolutely MUST understand - this is a multi-year endeavor. YEARS. It will take you literal YEARS to gain traction.
This is not an exaggeration.
Sure you'll find one or two people who blow up huge in anime or something, but that's not the whole career - at all.
Demo mills and less scrupulous coaches will sell you on the dream of being a full time VA right after your training is done and a demo is made. This is not reality - you should not quit your day job and dive into this expecting to feed your family right away.
Even when you start getting traction, you'll experience rejection and "failure" that will literally rip your soul out. It is HARD. You will feel extremely vulnerable. You will want to give up because you were lied to and tricked into spending tons of money on things you do not need.
It gets better. You find "your people". However, the biggest thing I've found so far in my endeavour is that you have to give support - unconditionally - to the people around you. That's how you push through it.
You have to love this craft. Love auditioning. View each audition as a new opportunity to get better, to hone your craft. Send it AND FORGET IT.
The people you admire that do this so effortlessly? YEARS OF WORK. It doesn't just materialize. I'll say it again - you have to spend YEARS working on being an ACTOR - not just a voice.
Don't give up if you love this. Don't let it get you so down that you quit. Remind yourself that your journey is only beginning - and it never stops. There is no epiphany where "oh, I've made it", only milestones.
The things you do a year from now are the things you'll wish you were doing now and you may not realize it.
Keep pushing. Be kind. Be supportive. Be patient. Always learn.
