What are three health myths or health practices that I think are misinformed?
Obsessing over protein. Ignoring social interaction. Thinking more exercise is better.
Americans focus too much of their time on the wrong things to prioritize wellness. Most people probably get enough protein. Peter Attia ignores how having meaningful social relationships is integral to longevity. Overexercising can lead to injury.

I’ve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I haven’t seen much discussion. I’m neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldn’t care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. It’s also arguably Elon’s greatest contribution to America. He’s helped bring back something we’ve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on America’s future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? We’ve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they don’t count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. I’ve been both bullish and critical of Tesla’s ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of what’s possible reminds me why I’m glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.

Tesla FSD 14.3.10: A Terrifying Near-Collision and an Incredible Escape! 🚗
A Tesla owner was driving with FSD 14.3.10 in Hurry Mode when the vehicle failed to brake in time for a stopped car ahead.
The driver panicked and immediately took control.
But just before impact, something incredible happened!
The Tesla suddenly swerved around the stopped vehicle, avoided another car parked on the shoulder, and squeezed through a narrow gap.
Not a single scratch!
The driver initially believed they had performed the maneuver themselves but later suspected Tesla’s ACE (Automatic Collision Evasion) had intervened.
However, one critical question remains:
Why didn’t FSD brake earlier?
This incident highlights both the potential of Tesla’s emergency collision avoidance technology and the importance of improving FSD’s braking decisions.
Whether ACE actually intervened remains unconfirmed.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post inaccurately claims FSD failed to brake/slow in time, but source video and analysis show the car slowed under FSD until driver disengagement at ~3s, with no brake input for several seconds afterward.

What not only 🇩🇪 German automakers, but many established car manufacturers, must do to survive:
#1 Acquire licenses for "FSD Supervised" or TAD and begin developing FSD-capable models.
#2 Align internal management incentive systems with long-term goals, such as the share of BEVs in the fleet and the reduction of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, including hybrids.
#3 Initiate restructuring to increase the level of vertical integration and local sourcing.
#4 Massively reduce the number of models and variants by up to 80 - 90%.
#5 Announce and implement a comprehensive, long-term cost-cutting program, including staff reductions in management and administration.
#6 Convey to capital markets, shareholders, and stakeholders that long-term survival, rather than profits, margins, dividends, or cash flow, is the top priority.
#7 Invest in innovative new but required technology e.g. large castings, active injection molding, unboxed assembly processes etc.
#8 Transform the corporate culture by hiring a management and supervisory board team experienced in software and focused on sustainability, with a clear mission in the field of electromobility.
#9 Halt all investments in internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, and hydrogen propulsion systems.
#10 Terminate all collective bargaining agreements, close plants manufacturing internal combustion engines that are operating below capacity, and reduce the workforce wherever possible.
The list could goes on, but this is a start.
And yes, it is hard, it seems impossible, and will cut your size, revenue, profits and influence and requires many sacrifices, but the truth is:
You have no choice; it is simply a matter of survival!
Hey 🇩🇪 German Automakers, it is so obvious what Must be Done!
I am speechless when I think about how clear and obvious it is what German manufacturers must do to stabilize their position for the future.
My list is not extremely long, but it is very painful, highly effective, and bound to meet with significant resistance.
Why? Because short-term measures that boost capital market performance and profit margins as I hear them every day cannot deliver long-term success, stability, or growth.
Everything I read in the media focuses on short-term fixes without addressing the root causes; without tackling those, there is no future outlook, there is no future.
One major issue, for instance, is the management incentive systems, which requires fundamental change.
My list is unpleasant, hard, painful, bitter - and effective but none of it is short term and thats why its unlikely it will be ever implemented.
