I’ve been “dragged” a couple of times on western social media, but when the Chinese come for you it’s a whole different thing. Westerners will call you an idiot or assume you’re the opposing political affiliation but the Chinese will just go for your soft and fragile core. They’ll invoke 5,000 years of history, ancient Chinese philosophers, and legends of scheming eunuchs all to tell you that you have the inescapable physiognomy of an untrustworthy person. I once posted a video of me doing some sports on Chinese YouTube and this one guy broke down my movements, almost scientifically, to credibly argue that I was actually retarded. Some of these cats got me reading about the Chinese history they invoke, I’ve been burned me so bad. It’s interesting. In life, to do great things you must be willing to be criticized. Trying to be liked by everyone or to avoid criticism is a fools errand. One post I’m a Chinese spy. The next post I’m an American spy. It’s a muscle. You read enough of it, and it stops bothering you. But every now and again someone presses just the right buttons, saying you have 小人相 and you get got.
