Still buzzing from Neuse Charter School’s STEAM teacher, Brian LaRue giving a powerful talk at #NCTIES 2026! 🚀
And the urgency is real:
📊 Two-thirds of industry leaders now say they won’t hire without AI skills
📊 Yet 76% of teachers report they’ve had no formal AI training
💡This week, we’re celebrating the incredible work of eight young ladies at @CiPrep.
This video, created by their teacher Mr. Nathan Williams, highlights the incredible work the scholars produced during the Obstacle Course Computer Science project.
#WomensHistoryMonth
@CiPrep thank you for showcasing what happens when students are given the tools to build, experiment, and create with AI!
What does computer science look like in a second-grade GT classroom?
Our very own @BlakeSchneden recently spent an afternoon with David Loveless at @SanMarcosCISD, a teacher who’s redefining what creativity can look like with the Hello World platform. 🧵
Every virtual world was built from a clear plan — proof that strong computer science instruction isn’t just about tools, but about teaching students to structure ideas, solve problems, and bring their creativity to life.
Students began by researching a “passion project” topic, from hurricanes to comic books, then transformed their findings into interactive virtual experiences on Hello World. What stood out most was the intentionality behind the creativity.
Headed to #NCTIES26? Join Brian LaRue, K–5 STEAM Teacher at Neuse Charter School, as he leads a session exploring our turnkey curriculum that integrates virtual reality, AI literacy, and project-based learning.

Mr. LaRue will showcase real examples of outcomes on how students:
• Design immersive 3D worlds
• Build engaging AI-powered projects
• Participate in interdisciplinary quests aligned to CSTA and state standards
“AI literacy is no longer optional, it is essential,” says Firstline Schools CS teacher Triana Albert.

The result?
"They weren’t just experimenting with technology, they were actively building higher-level thinking and comprehension skills,” says Ms. Albert.
“AI literacy empowers learners to become thoughtful creators rather than passive consumers in a world increasingly guided by algorithms.”
That's the power of the AI Literate Now™ movement.
