I'm an engineer with decades of experience. I was raised and educated generations ago, when a cultural respect for academics and hard work actually mattered in this country. I have graduate degrees in physics and CS, and was already coding for a living the year you were born. I spent my career acquiring skills in fields ranging from simulation to AI/ML to game design and development to quantum computing. I'm precisely the kind of person you claim we need to bring in on visas, because there's an alleged shortage of us in the US. Three years ago, I was forced into early retirement by Biden's mandate. Thanks to widespread discrimination against people of my age, race, gender, and vax status, I had no realistic prospects for finding a new job in my field. As a result I've had to re-structure my life and finances to pursue a modest career as an indie author and gamedev, and live off my savings. There are many, many more like me. We're not alike in all the same respects, but we are in more than enough of them. The reason we're no longer in the active labor force, and thus appear to be invisible to you, isn't because we don't exist. It's because most of us have given up finding employment in the tech industry as a lost cause. As a long-time admirer, I'm incredibly disappointed that you appear to have blinded yourself to our existence. I don't know why that is. All I know is that we don't fit the tone-deaf mantra of the very tech industry that spent the last decade and a half screwing us over, about a BS need to import people with our expertise for below market wages. I can easily get behind the idea of targeting a small fraction of the top talent around the world. Less than a percent, perhaps, in an O-1 visa framework. As for the rest, you should be publicly tapping us back in to resume our place in the industry, and to pick up much of the nation's future need for tech expertise. When I see otherwise smart and informed business leaders acting as though those of us who've been cast into the wilderness don't even exist, that earns precisely zero trust in the counter-solutions they are asking me to accept instead.

There seems to be some confusion on the H1B debate...as the tech bros are being KNOWINGLY deceptive. The tech bros argue that H1Bs are essential because we need the best and brightest the world has to offer in order to keep up with technology. This is a false narrative. There is already a program called the O-1 Visa that is for individuals with "extraordinary ability or achievement." There is currently no annual cap on these visas. What they want to increase is the H-1B Visa, which is for "specialized labor". The debate isn't about bringing the best and brightest. It's about being able to import more tech workers that are willing to work for cheaper. PROFITS.

I have really good friends on both sides of the H-1B debate. Everyone interested needs to watch this and see how these visas are used to disenfranchse our workers and prioriotize foreginers. Also, you should be instantly skeptical of any policy, no matter how well intentioned, that Ted Kennedy had a hand in creating, especially immigration related.

This can all be solved by setting the minimum H1B salary to 300k If a company doesn’t want to pay 300k for the “amazing overseas talent” then they’re not talented

I’m sorry. I didn’t realize anyone still believed this fantasy that we’re only plucking a few geniuses out of Mumbai every year. That’s…not what’s happening. At all.

My views on the H-1B Visas have evolved over the day. At first, I sided with those saying that they’re essential because keeping up with technology requires America to have as workers the best and brightest and the American population apparently can’t fill those jobs. But then I saw the job titles of those who come through on this program and they’re often very common jobs many American citizens can do. That may be America First. But it doesn’t sound like Americans First.

Everyone sees Indian immigration the way they've experienced it: 1 - High-tech and elite firms see the exceptionally talented with no equivalent American substitute. 2 - The low- and mid-tier tech worker is familiar with Indian department takeovers. 3 - Average Americans have had the Indian call-center or Indian budget hotel experience. Group 1 can't get mad at group 2 and 3 for imagining more of what they know.
This high skilled immigration debate is wild because you have a lot of people who don’t build things commenting on the type of talent it takes to build things.

The h1-b visa doesn’t exist to get you the once in a generation talent That’s the o-1 visa and it will continue to exist The h1-b is exploited to replace the middle class

Remember that H1B-visa workers wrote this memo AT FACEBOOK directing them to implement more DEI, be racists against whites, and open the floodgates of H1Bs to “China”. Lets make this go viral, 🇺🇸 👇🏻

BREAKING: @Weaponization just dropped a MASSIVE 17,000-page report on the Biden Admin's weaponized federal government. Emails reveal an alarming level of collusion between DHS/CISA, Stanford University, the Atlantic Council, and Big Tech to create the "Election Integrity Partnership's" censorship machine. • Graham Brookie of the Atlantic Council's DFR Labs wrote: "We just set up an election integrity partnership at the request of DHS/CISA." • A redacted Facebook executive spilled the beans in an email about a call with DHS, saying: "DHS cannot openly endorse the portal." • Alex Stamos of the Stanford Internet Observatory emailed NextDoor executives: "We already have partnerships with Facebook, Twitter, and Google, and we would love to chat with you and your team." This is some next-level dystopian sh*t. So how does the Trump admin make sure this BS doesn't happen again?

Justice prevails. Meanwhile, none of the many short sellers who egregiously manipulated Tesla stock for years and lied repeatedly on TV have been prosecuted. Not one.
NEWS: The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upholds a jury verdict that cleared Elon Musk of all allegations of having misled investors with his 2018 “funding secured” tweet for taking @Tesla private. This 6-year nonsense lawsuit is finally put to bed. Another win for Elon Musk! 🙌

Once you get to a certain age an incredible thing happens where you no longer feel the need to argue with people who aren't as cerebral as you..you just look at them like...its not like you don't care, you just know your time and energy is too valuable to waste.

Given the unequivocal mandate given to @realDonaldTrump from the people of America, winning not just the electoral college by a landslide, but also the popular vote, Senate AND House, there will be none of that nonsense this time. They won’t even try.

In 2016, there was no peaceful transition of power. Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic Party weaponized the FBI, DOJ, and the legacy media to frame Donald Trump as a Russian agent. They lied to a FISA court multiple times to secure wiretaps and surveillance on Trump and his team. For years, federal agency heads fed disinformation to the media to undermine the duly elected president—the first populist outsider in recent history. The same media that dismissed Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation, perpetuated the “very fine people” hoax, and portrayed Joe Biden as “sharp as a tack” also lied to the public about the integrity of the 2020 election. Russiagate, along with disinformation campaigns and social media censorship from the left, fueled widespread distrust and deep frustration with our institutions, ultimately leading to the events of January 6th. Meanwhile, the left supported BLM protests that caused billions in damages across American cities, yet continues to focus on January 6th because they are obsessed with smearing President Trump and his supporters while projecting moral superiority. For Trump supporters, who now represent the majority of the country, there was no peaceful transfer of power in 2016. Russiagate was always seen as the real insurrection—a coordinated attempt by the Washington establishment, unelected bureaucrats, and national institutions to overthrow the American people's choice for president.
