DJ Shadow, aka Josh Davis, is a pioneer of experimental instrumental hip-hop. Known for his Mo' Wax label singles like "In/Flux" and "Lost and Found (S.F.L.)," he blends funk, rock, hip-hop, ambient, jazz, and soul. Growing up in Hayward, CA, Davis established the Solesides label in college, leading to his acclaimed album "Endtroducing..." in 1996. He later worked with U.N.K.L.E. and transformed Solesides into Quannum Projects, releasing "The Private Press" in 2002.
