Life in the Valdheim valley never stops. Peasants till fields, merchants drive their caravans, robber baron plans raids, and you are hired to bring order to this land.

Close enough! @ID_AA_Carmack do you think can we get a floating skateboard next?
"moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration"
Couldn't sum up 2026 better
Really surprised in a good way by this keynote by Odersky. IMHO it's exactly the right way to approach agent written code: pragmatic verification, strong reviewable interfaces, declared effects.
As cool as it is, 6500+ exoplanets have been found so far, and that's only the confirmed and published data. I'm sure we'll get to 10000 by October next year, and the bottleneck is publishing, not finding them.
Increasingly starting to realize this too, with horror
If your company or startup is running engineering with everyone using their own license of Codex/CC then you're going to be completely left behind by fast moving teams who are using cloud-based agents.
Local dev is like banging rocks together and grunting versus being on a rocket.
Seriously, just pay the money for something like @DevinAI, @AmpCode, @FactoryAI, etc.
Do NOT try to build your own "code factory".
Props to @DaleSpoonemore for taking @HelloUntangle to the next level on this. Fun to watch.
Software production always wanted to be a factory. Think of all the assembling, building, pipelining we have been doing. Now that one more thing is being automated it's suddenly too much?
It's cool that finally we have found a language that explains to a computer precisely what we want it to do

This is what I want Free Companies to feel like. Large companies prepared for battle, forests of pikes and lances, blackpowder smoke in the air, bright banners floating above.
