A wonderfully affirming piece by @gilescoren and his gentle, ongoing coming to a very Anglican sort of Christian faith.
It must have been a brave thing to write, given some of the sneering certain people will lobby, but I found it beautifully written, humble, and inspiring.

Wonderful end to Palm Sunday as we gave thanks for the faith of 8 newly confirmed members of the church family at a service at @peters_church Limpsfield @SouthwarkCofE – at Croydon, London

I think we should have kicked up more of a fuss about this when it happened. You allow one cat disco to take place underneath the dean’s robes and it leads to all sorts of shenanigans.

George Monbiot absolutely shredding this govt and their sadistic, pure distraction, Rwanda policy.

Wrote to @thetimes responding to Suella saying that only *some* homeless people should be allowed tents. Glad they published it.

Perhaps it’s because I’m honest about the questions I have about life & faith that I get into loads of conversations with other people who tell me about theirs, and what a huge relief it is to be able to talk about it. Why is church such a tough space for people to be honest in?

Those who love do not stand around doing nothing. Those who love serve. They hurry to reach others to serve in the name of Jesus. We love through our deeds and love makes us happy!

Felt v guilty (& slightly worried) turning up at A&E in the middle of #JuniorDoctors strike, brought donuts for the picket line but as there wasn’t one, the A&E team had them instead. We are so lucky to have the #NHS & #PayRestoration is the least our doctors & nurses deserve.

I’m a Christian; my faith inspires me every day. But God isn’t a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Hindu or a Sikh. God is the great includer, the lover of all humanity, regardless of belief, race, ethnicity, age, ability, disability, status, gender, sexuality or gender orientation.

On this winter solstice, looking from Mt Zion east towards Jordan:
‘O Morning Star, splendour of light eternal and sun of righteousness, come and enlighten those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death. Amen.’

The best moment of the game was 2 seconds after the missed penalty. Jude takes 2 seconds. Then sprints to Harry. Lays his hands on his head & his heart. This is called mercy. We can all be receivers & givers of mercy. It's quite literally the message of Christmas. #FollowTheStar

Advent 2: ‘The voice of one crying out in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths straight.”’ Voices are crying out for justice in the Holy Land. In the midst of struggles here are in many other places please pray and act to support those who suffer.

God is not a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a Sikh or an atheist. The way I see it, God is the lover of all humanity, regardless of belief, race, ethnicity, age, ability, disability, status, gender, sexuality or gender orientation.
The real question is, are we!

Do not borrow trouble from tomorrow as it is not here yet. Instead just revel in today and making memories with your girl. Breathe is good self advice. Just look at her and enjoy THIS day, THIS moment with her.

Our colleagues get an extra day off when their kids have their first day at school, so you may notice a different colleague in your local Timpson shop next week, helping cover for this important day in a families life.
