It's what the deal says about where infrastructure demand is moving. Riot Platforms has agreed to provide Anthropic with 191 MW of computing capacity from its Rockdale, Texas facility under a 20-year agreement expected to generate about $9.1B in revenue. The deal could potentially reach $16.1B if the extension options are exercised. Think about that for a second. A company that became widely known for Bitcoin mining is now monetizing its power and data-center infrastructure for AI workloads. That's a bigger story than “AI company signs huge contract.” It shows how valuable power, data centers and compute capacity have become as AI demand keeps expanding. And this is where the market-access side gets interesting. @BiyaPay already lists ANTHROPICUSDT Pre-IPO perpetual contracts, giving users a way to trade a contract tied to Anthropic's pre-IPO asset rather than directly owning Anthropic shares. Bitcoin mining infrastructure doesn't necessarily have to remain tied exclusively to Bitcoin if the underlying power and data-center capacity can be repurposed for another rapidly growing market. At the same time, there are plenty of risks. A headline deal doesn't guarantee that an asset's price will move in the same direction. Pre-IPO pricing can differ from eventual market pricing, liquidity can vary, and perpetual contracts introduce additional trading risks. So this is less about making a price prediction and more about understanding the connection between AI demand → compute infrastructure → capital markets → new trading products.
