Good morning! Welcome to Issue 11.
This issue, which we've titled Prism, gathers poems, stories, essays, and images that move through fracture toward illumination—tracing how beauty, care, and connection persist even when the world feels broken.

What stories do we inherit—and which do we choose to tell?
Folktales, family myths, old stories made new. Heimat Review’s Issue 12: Mythologies explores what we carry forward, what we change, and what happens when we ask what if?

Replying to @StanchionZine @AfterDinnerCon
It has been an incredible honor to be included in Stanchion and to have read such fantastic books and short form pieces. Your journey encouraged me to take the leap and start my own (@HeimatReview), and I want to say thank you for being such a bright part of the little mag world.

Stanchion is closing. I got to interview Editor Jeff Bogle & he was one of the most passionate editors I've met. A one-man operation, surely hard to sustain. It was a great run.
The brief Stanchion Magazine farewell tour begins with issue 24. Inside you'll find new Hannah Grieco, @ScottLaudati @abigailmyers @ScribblerMiller @gr8earlofhell @AceBoggess @IEphemera @LeeSplash @taylorhamannlos & more of the best writers in indie lit.

I wrote this during a summer of storms, literal and otherwise. I don’t think I understood fear until I became a mother.
This poem is one way of trying to say that.

Any lit mags looking to go to #AWP27 next Spring? Thoughts on purchasing a table as an online-only journal? I'd love to hear your past AWP experiences!
I might also attend as an individual and connect with all of you amazing creators and meet Heimat contributors. Most importantly, I want to keep being a part of this lovely #writingcommunity, and I keep hearing how great AWP is.
