After relinquishing control of forests to the villages that depend on them, forest cover in this small mountainous country nearly doubled.
Hereโs how Nepal regenerated its forests ๐ฒ:
From 1992 to 2016, forest cover in the country almost doubled. A study using #Landsat data and interviews with people in Nepali villages found that community-led forest management was associated with regrowth.
