The next time the US Government starts a war by pretending it's doing so because of how outraged it is by the repression and tyranny in the country to be attacked -- and that the new war that's being sold is about freeing the oppressed peoples of that country with benevolent regime change that will liberate everyone -- can we all at least realize that this is always total bullshit? The US does fight wars to free people or end repression or vanquish despotism. That's just the laughably deceitful propagandistic pretense to get people to feel good and noble about yet another American war and to give the Sean Hannitys and Jake Tappers something to say.
