While most of us stay at home, hedgehogs must roam around a mile each night. They're out of hibernation so now is the perfect time to make our gardens more hedgehog-friendly! Watch and enjoy 'Hedgehog Close':

I have been working to improve the lives of #hedgehogs for years - with @hedgehogsociety and @PTES (through #HedgehogStreet) - and most recently with my petition. And I have an announcement - @bovishomes have embraced the hedgehog! change.org/p/help-save-brita… Please share!

Victory for #hedgehogs? It certainly seems like my petition has made a difference ... amazing what 583,000 signatures can do! Have a read of this update - basically, National Planning Policy Framework has been changed to include hedgehog highways! change.org/p/help-save-brita…
Enjoyed fantastic talk from @daviddomoney @The_RHS Hampton court today. Great to see hedgehogs and @hedgehogsociety getting a mention too! Thanks David.
Hedgehogs can get trapped in the unlikeliest of places.... Here’s our good friend and ‘hedgehog hero’ rescuing his spiky neighbour. A £5 ‘drain guard’ could save a life! @hedgehogsociety

#Hedgehogs have suffered a huge decline in recent years - they need all the help they can get. Access to a network of gardens is essential. Here’s proof that even modern fencing techniques can and SHOULD accommodate #hedgehoghighways @Team4Nature @hedgehogsociety @hedgehoghugh – at Llandrindod Wells, Wales

This Christmas advert has been banned from TV for being too political.
I think what's happening to our rain forests should be banned for being criminal to life on earth.
This needs to be the most viewed Christmas advert ever! Do your best Twitter!

Please #rememberhedgehogs and other wildlife and pets on #BonfireNight move bonfire piles just before they are to be lit and check carefully, then light from only one side to allow escape route should you have missed anything. PLEASE RETWEET.
