Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are set to become sister networks after lawsuits challenging the Paramount Skydance–Warner Bros. Discovery merger were settled and the deal was approved. The merger is expected to close in approximately two weeks.

There are more standouts than just those ones and having arguably better sequels on later consoles doesn't invalidate them so that second point is just moot. If you need recommendations you could just ask.

Might be a hot take, but I don't think anything on the NES fully holds up. Mario 3, Mega Man 2 and the first Kirby are still standouts but all the NES classics have far superior follow ups on the SNES.

They weren't even doing that that long ago. Season 26 may not have been season 8, maybe it wasn't peak South Park, but it was still a pretty good season. South Park just isn't good at serialized narratives, it's a CARTOON, not a SOAP OPERA!
