Bleacher Report has the Miami Heat finishing with a 50-32 record for this upcoming season: “Davion Mitchell, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bobby Portis can all be plus three-point shooters, relative to their roles and positions. Pelle Larsson, Nikola Jović and Simone Fontecchio can too. In fact, there's a world where Bam and Giannis are the only non-shooters meaningfully in the rotation. If that's the case, both should have plenty of driving lanes to exploit. The wins will stack up because of it.”

Bam Adebayo says there’s 3-4 players on the Miami Heat that are trying to win Defensive Player of The Year: “There are three or four of us that want to go get that award (DPOY), I mean you got to be number one on defense (as a team). So obviously that’s a collaboration that we got to buy into, not just me, not just Giannis or Davion, the whole group, if you want to be successful and get stops in this league. The goal is to be No. 1 in defense, top three, at least.” (Ira Winderman)

Giannis to Wiggins to Bam to Klay for the 3. OUR GUYS ARE READY FOR THE SEASON.

Bam Adebayo is liking what he’s seeing from Ryan Conwell👀 “He’s really under control, he doesn’t get too rattled. And obviously he keeps the same facial expression while he’s out there. So, he’s not playing like a rookie.” (Anthony Chiang)

Ira Winderman says the Miami Heat should keep the 15th roster spot available for someone like Zach Lavine: “Heat essentially have enough space under their hard cap to sign a single player to the veteran minimum. So you wait not only until something better comes along, but rather something best. When you have one bite at the apple, it had better be a pretty darn tasty apple (something perhaps, eventually, of the Zach LaVine variety).”

Klay Thompson on everyone doubting him after he struggled to shoot in the preseason: “The shots will fall, I’m not worried about that. I’ve played this game long enough to know you’re going to have great days, you’re going to have bad days. Just do the work and stay consistent, and I’ll shoot my career averages. I’ve just played so long, you can analyze every season. Every season is different. That’s why preseason is so important, to get your legs under you. Luckily, I have a blank slate when the regular season starts Wednesday, and it doesn’t count, for me, I wasn’t too concerned with how I shot the ball. It was more about my wind, my condition, and playing good defense.” (Anthony Chiang)
