Lot’s of buying by $BPRE’s Ramin Kamfar lately. What’s going to be - a shareholder friendly corporate action or Kamfar trying to dilute Saba in their fight?
been thinking about this a lot lately — optimizing code, cutting costs, automating little tasks… that’s getting solved. what still feels hard is understanding why things work in reality, grinding through iterations IRL, finding the right people. weird shift but it feels real
Whats worse:
1. Donating to the market the day before FOMC?
2.Donating to the market 0.4 seconds after the FED announces?
What did you expect, that Tibo would be resetting weekly limits left and right without OpenAI getting something back in return... These guys spend thousands of dollars on your Pro subscription and you we pay $200 for it.
Don't get me wrong, this is not morally right especially in the case of the math professor working on this very hard , however training the models on anything that the codex users do .. I mean how the heck do you think these models get so good , by reading reddit threads and books?
>math professor spends a year on one of the hardest unsolved problems in math
>"Navier-Stokes"
>his drafts for the whole project went through codex sessions
>openai had his logs in codex
>suddenly rumor leaks AI solved it
>he emails openai to ask what's going on
>openai calls within days
>"funny story, our model also solved it"
>using his exact approach
>asks openai: did you train on my sessions?
>no answer
Absolutely , I’ve noticed that I managed to make some leaps in projects that stalled for me with the prior models and now I am able to complete them with a few more prompts and it gets so easy now that I am having thought as to what to do with my own time now… perhaps digging deeper and actually find the root cause of why a trading pattern may or may not work is getting much easier to understand and reach to that point. Seems like the future will be great for people in very narrow and obscure niches and of course people who arr good in both the digital and physical world and manage to pass through the optimizations from AI to the physical world .. but man oh man , everything happens so quickly, you figure out what 1 model is good for and where to use it best and then 5 more come out that are on part but faster/cheaper or simply better …. Big big FOMO vibes
Very few people will actually notice the step change from GPT 5.6 to GPT 6 Astra. The reason is simple: most everyday tasks are already saturated. AI is already at 100%.
I can ask ChatGPT to find the email of a babysitter, email her, send a calendar invite, then text my wife. Or take a photo of my bike tire, have it identify the exact tire, research it, and tell me the right PSI.
It already does all of this extremely well. There is no 120%.So if I switch to Astra, I may see almost 0 difference. Maybe it is faster and cheaper, but with a subscription you barely feel either.
The capability jump will be obvious if you are at the frontier of coding, math or science. For everyone else, AI has become so good that the next huge leap might feel surprisingly invisible.
I cannot help but wonder what's the point of investing in a vehicle that has ~ performance as SP500 but charges you some management + performance fee (let's be conservative 1% - 10%) - Why would you invest in it? Do they get some sort of a kick back on the fees they pay so some people get some cash back? This is an honest question and I am not here to undercut Alf , I just wonder what's the financial logic behind such a move because there isn't any on the surface
So so so true but only if you are curious, driven and ambitious. Otherwise the standard pace

To develop deep intuitions in any domain, you have to go through the grind and the struggle of using your brain.
You really can’t outsource understanding as the whole point of it is to develop and evolve a highly *personal* web of belief about how a domain works.

My grandfather told me this: "You’ll achieve much more by being consistently reliable than by being occasionally extraordinary." You can get pretty damn far in life by just being someone that people can count on to show up and do the work. I'll never forget that.

Relax, you still have time
So many people trying to analyze Saylor’s actions and how it can affect STRC and the rest but boy… if BTC keeps dropping not even Trump tweeting about it will save you
I have no clue how much money he was paid to spew that gibberish but it will stay forever on his CV
