Behold! Masters of the Universe Origins Sketchbook Series Dick… I mean, Man-At-Arms. Phallic implications aside, this feels like quite an achievement after he was available on @Target for just a few precious minutes yesterday. Somehow, miraculously, he’s already in my house. Man-At-Arms is one of those characters whose colors are so distinctive that seeing them immediately fills your heart with familiarity. He’s recognizable in almost any form, and even in this early concept version, those colors were already there - so he quickly becomes a favorite. And what a figure, in every sense of the word. I think this guy represents one of the things MOTU does best: piling all kinds of crazy ideas onto a design with absolutely no fear of going too far. The result is peculiar enough that we can certainly make fun of it, but find it awesome nonetheless. Let’s take a look at the sculpt, accessories, functionality and, as usual, the box art of Eternia’s Royal Guard commander. ⬇️
