This is AI bro 🫩
I normally listen to electronic music with few or repeating lyrics when needing to focus, but I've found that a looping Gregorian chant also does the trick! open.spotify.com/track/0xUL1…

How they kept this is a secret is beyond the reveal itself. Kudos Tesla/SpaceX

"sir their second model in under a week, we can't hold the users for much longer. We need to release something but what?" "call Mr. Pichai, arrange a meeting with him"
Introducing Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in the Claude 5.5 family. It’s a clear upgrade over Sonnet 5, runs more than 30% faster, and costs up to 30% less for most work.

good app idea
I never knew this, Apple Health had a time in daylight metric that’s done via the lux sensor in the Apple Watch

The normies yearn for the Prompt Harnesses
Generative AI was supposed to be hallucinatory liminal shit like this, not slop menus at the local bodega.

Electron is one of Windows 11's biggest RAM offenders, and Discord's latest idea is to build a Game Mode to reduce background usage rather than abandon the framework. Previously, Discord said it would restart itself when its RAM usage reaches 4GB. Discord is now working on a new Game Mode that automatically reduces animations and visual effects when it detects you’re playing a game, so the app doesn’t waste CPU and GPU while your game is running. That’s good, but it avoids the bigger problem: RAM management. Discord is one of Windows 11’s biggest RAM offenders because it is built on Electron, which means the app brings a Chromium-based runtime along with the chat client. Discord has already admitted the app can balloon past 4GB of RAM, and it previously tested automatically restarting itself when memory usage crosses that mark. The new Game Mode focuses on CPU and GPU usage, not memory. That matters because RAM is now one of the most expensive parts of a PC again, and Microsoft, OEMs, and users are all being forced back into the reality of 8GB and 16GB machines. Discord says its Electron upgrades improved CPU usage, and Game Mode is still a useful idea. Animations and effects shouldn’t compete with games. But if the app still needs a browser runtime to exist on Windows, the bigger performance question remains untouched. It's about time Windows developers stop cooking Electron apps and eat RAM like it’s still cheap!

android foldables could have been out for another decade and you still wouldn't have seen the ingenuity from developers that you are seeing for the Duo even before it is publicly available
Duo-Man offers the complete walkman experience on the iPhone Duo. Open the Duo to pick and 'insert' the cassette, Close the Duo to start listening. Yes, I actually recorded the button clicks and static noise from a real Walkman! It was fun making this at @bitrig hacks today.

Why do I feel like the AI personal agent race is all going to go to zero? In less than a month we're gonna see versions from the big labs which arguably will be the best. We already see that they all pretty much do the same thing, so what's going to be the differentiator? 1/x

The only moat I see for these companies is having exclusive access to agentic workflows for their proprietary data. Meta with Instagram & Facebook, Google with YouTube, Apple with direct integration to iOS.I predict they will start to gatekeep API and MCP access to their data.

Eventually we'll have an agent for every service that has exclusive access to that service's data and integrations. Maybe this will be easily bypassed by having agents speak to agents, who knows? What do you think about all of this, let me know your thoughts.

iPhone Air was essentially a test run of the iPhone Duo
