Last night, Hay-on-Wye Fire Station welcomed the newest member of the crew! Firefighter Jack Hughes.
In his spare time, Jack works at home on the farm!
We look forward to Jack playing a key part in our team.

Have you ever considered being an On Call Firefighter, but aren't sure what it involves or what the selection process is like? We are holding a taster evening which will give you the chance to ask any questions that you may have, put some fire kit and try some of the entry tests

Been a busy day for the crew at Station 16. Call outs starting at 4am, we have attended a number of incidents throughout the day. We arrived back at Station at 6pm. With poor conditions outside we encourage you to stay safe and in case of emergency ring 999
This Monday evening, the 24th June, the station is holding its second recruitment evening.

Tonight we welcomed Firefighter Jon Turtle, the newest member of the team to Station 16, Hay-on-Wye after passing his Initial Recruits Course.
If you're interested in joining the team here at Station 16, we are holding a recruitment open evening on Monday 20th May from 6.30pm.
Last night we said farewell to a popular member of our team, Firefighter Luke Newton.
Luke joined us in 2015, and followed in the footsteps of his father, Station Manager Mark Ayling, who attended the station this evening to present Luke with his Certificate of Service.
Last night, we said goodbye to Crew manager Harry Ratcliffe. Who has served 10 years within the service. The station would like to wish Harry all the best for the future
