Spotted in Kew today.
Jess Wilson won’t front a single candidates forum in her own seat. So she’s ended up as an empty chair on the side of a truck.

Y’know what they’re NOT dodging?
…awnings.

Pressure is mounting on the Victorian Liberal Leader to explain how she plans to repair the state's deteriorating balance sheet. afr.com/politics/jess-wilson…

All the greatest hits happen at press conferences… 😅🎶🎧
…No wonder she tends to avoid unscripted events.

At least a moving bus makes it harder for Jess Wilson to run off when a follow-up question arrives.

Jess Wilson is dodging debates, community forums, and now journalists too.
She knows her numbers don’t add up, and that she’s making billions in promises to buy votes.
We need independents to scrutinise the major parties and ensure the responsible spending of your money.

Ironic that Jess Wilson stormed out of a press conference after questions about debt and economic management…
…anyway, her opponent in the seat of Kew is co-hosting this forum with respected economist Saul Eslake:

The $9 billion hole in the Liberals’ costings, while insisting they’ll be back in black by 2032, remains unexplained.
Victorian Opposition Leader Jess Wilson has walked away from questions in a less than five minute press conference after making journalists wait for an hour.

Jess Wilson is so locked into her talking points that the most obvious follow-up question breaks everything.
Watch this complete logic failure in real time.

Wow. Jess Wilson just had media wait nearly an hour, then walked off after less than 5 mins of questions.

The whole campaign has been very carefully stage managed.
- Would-be Ministers don’t get seen
MPs don’t do interviews
- A would-be Premier avoids constituent forums
- Friendly media outlets are hand-picked
- A leader distrusts her party-mates to the extent she plans to be Premier AND Treasurer
And even then, the first-term-MP turned leader flubs
Despite their critiques that former Premiers concentrated power, avoided accountability, and spent too much - they’ve become it all, and then some.
Whether or not the voters of Kew (already on a narrow margin) do the funniest thing and elect an independent to replace her, I don’t see a stable path ahead for a state led by a party that sues its own leaders into near-bankruptcy.

It’s offical - my name will be on the ballot for Kew in the upcoming state election!
A 1 next to my name is a vote for integrity, responsible economic management, climate action, affordable housing, and protecting Treaty.
We’ve got 24 days to turn Kew independent 🩵

Jess Wilson says government spending is inflationary.
She has also announced more than $9 billion in new spending commitments.
Make it make sense.
I’ve got a 7-point plan to get Victoria’s budget back under control. For responsible economic management, vote 1 Sophie Torney.

Eventually the media training fails, the talking points dry up, and someone asks how you’ll fix Labor’s spending by spending even more.
Jess Wilson hoped nobody would notice before the election.
Instead, her friendly chat with Neil Mitchell became a car crash.

Renewables are delivering the cheapest generation of electricity.
Yet the Liberal Party wants to increase your power bills by drilling for more gas and extending the life of coal fired power.
If you want cheaper and cleaner energy, vote 1 Sophie Torney.

Why is Jess Wilson happy to answer questions from voters across Victoria, but not from voters in her own electorate of Kew?
Is it because she’s backflipped on Treaty, climate, coal and gas?
