I’m an Apple person. My last MacBook Pro lasted over 11 years until I could no longer update it and she finally just quietly quit on me.
I will downgrade to a MacBook Air because the Pros are too $$$ and I hear poor things about the Neo.
So here is my crazy question: Should I just switch to a Windows based computer like a Lenovo instead for a fraction of the cost? I need something that will last, not slow down just because, and, once again, last! I’m afraid it will be a “Get what you pay for” type of situation of I do.

Public schools are far more dangerous than churches. In absolute and per capita numbers. We tell our kids. Let us know if any adult seems too curious about your life. More than a couple of surface level questions is suss. Especially if they say “keep a secret.”
I am glad we are homeschooling. This would infuriate me. Children should NOT be subjected to the Teachers Union nonsense. Children do not belong in government schools.

I'm not going to lie, @surface ultra looks amazing on the paper, however, my biggest hesitation is Windows 11.
