The team behind the popular Ocarina of Time PC port has confirmed that AI tools have been used in development for years. Harbour Masters says some developers have used tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to work through technical problems or help with code. They insist that “nothing is just out of the AI and into the codebase” and that human developers review the code. But fans are questioning how much AI-assisted code is actually in the project. One developer admitted “I don’t know” when asked which version contains no AI-assisted code.
