I can’t imagine what a college sports fan is going through with all this chaos. I know how challenging it is to be a coach and a player. Everyone knows my stance on the bipartisan PCSA bill in Congress. It’s not perfect, and there are things I don’t like about it, but it’s desperately needed to protect young American athletes and will solve the problems that now threaten the future of college sports. We’re all tired of eligibility lawsuits in different states, different rules and different outcomes. The PCSA will solve that problem once and for all. Under the PCSA, eligibility disputes would be adjudicated in federal court – not a hometown state court – and we would get protections and fairness for American 17, 18, 19 year old kids and double the amount of direct rev share payments from schools, which includes retention money. One national standard. No thumb on the scale. Players First!
