Baby is 4 months old and I’m thoroughly in love. Moving steadily up the skill tree: Coordination and giggles unlocked.

Super Typhoon Champi has possibly achieved the maximum theoretical intensity a storm with an inner core as large as hers can reach on Earth.

I did this off the cuff with my son. He kept grinding his teeth like he wanted them gone. After weeks of refusing to stop I told him "Better not grind your teeth or the Tooth Collector will hear you, and come take your teeth." He got very quiet. Then wanted to know more. So here's what has emerged over the last year as this has become the favorite monster of my household. The Tooth Collector is a raggedy, antlered monster who leaves under the roots of an old tree. Upon hearing a kid grind his teeth, the Tooth Collector pulls himself up from the earth. His mouth is filled with hundreds of teeth he's collected, and hundreds more rattle against his skeletal frame as macabre beads. His eyes flare like old coals in a gust of wind as he stumbles toward the sound that calls to him. Make sure you're inside, especially around dusk and dawn. And if you hear a knock at the door, listen close for the sound of rattling teeth ere you dare to turn the latch. Little boys who fail to hear this wisdom will gum their food to the end. And when you lose a tooth, don't drop it! He'll hear. Leave it on the back porch, just to be safe. If it's gone in the morning, you'll know you made the right call. My son demands Tooth Collector stories all the time now.

This might be the pinnacle moment of the strongest El Niño in history. Pacific Super Typhoon Champi is unbelievable by every metric. A buoy just measured a ~909 MBAR pressure at the edge of her 40+ mile-wide eye, which has now reached a blistering dryness of -10.94 C. Her eyewall is a 180+ MPH (290+ kph) buzzsaw of cyclonic violence, and her CDO is a perfect Saturnian ring of icy, -110 F (-80 C) convective thunderstorms. And she is still. Getting. Stronger.

Let me get this straight: Instead of your tax dollars going towards the things you were protesting for, it’s now going towards cleaning up after your temper tantrum.

Category 5 Super Typhoon Champi now has extremely violent sustained winds of 185 MPH (298 kph) and an insane core pressure of 895 MBAR, tying her with Super Typhoon Sinlaku as the world’s STRONGEST storm of 2026 by wind speed. You are looking at a meteorological Megalodon.

This mindset of entitlement and greed, built on a foundation of envy and hate, is incompatible with Western values. Notice how it never crosses his mind to work for what others have earned through their own hard work.

Before you think of rioting in London, you should submit a Subject Access Request (SAR) to your local council, local police and TFL, they’ll show you personal videos of you that you never knew existed, You’ll be shocked. If you think London is Paris, you’ll have yourself to blame.
All you dimwits who think you can go and riot in London without any consequences, here’s a live website of all transport CCTVs in London trafficcameras.uk/london-wes…. Happy rioting and looting

IMO, the U.S. should intervene if it becomes clear that Louvre is about to fall to rioters. Launch airstrikes on Paris, call up and threaten Macron, I don't really care. But Louvre shouldn't fall to rioters in any case. That is not just French history in there. That's Western history. If the French fail to protect it, somebody needs to intervene.

Listen to the children. They want a better economy and I can’t think of anything that would improve the economy of France more than shutting down tourism.

There was something special about being a kid when adults didn't feel the need to entertain you every minute of the day. Your parents could take you somewhere incredibly boring, and you were just expected to deal with it. The bank. The hardware store. Your mother's friend's house, where you sat on a couch covered in plastic and weren't allowed to touch anything. Nobody handed you a screen. Nobody worried about whether you were having fun. You studied the wallpaper. You read the same magazine three times. You stared at the clock and wondered if the second hand had stopped moving. And if you made the mistake of asking, "Can we go now?" your mother gave you that look. You know the look. The one that could end your entire afternoon without a single word being spoken. I swear, we developed half our imagination simply because our parents refused to entertain us. Looking back, I think being bored was one of the best things that ever happened to us.

when Rome was sacked, most people living in the Roman Empire didn't notice much of a difference in their daily lives the farmers kept farming, the merchants kept trading, the normies kept norming. life went on Rome still fell the fact that you can walk down your street and get a croissant doesn't tell you much about the state of your civilization but it tells a lot about you
Just in case anyone is wondering: I live in Paris; if I didn’t have X dot com I would have no idea there are riots in France.

Leftists don’t understand how the world works. Sure, you can loot a store and give a bunch of sugary snacks to a drugged up homeless guy on meth. But at the end of the day, he will still be drugged up and homeless. Nothing changes. His life doesn’t improve, he is not magically lifted out of poverty. You’re just left with a drugged up homeless guy on meth next to a looted store. There’s no GTA infinite money glitch in real life guys. Once you loot and steal and burn and destroy, the wealth doesn’t come back. It doesn’t magically regenerate. Things don’t go back to normal. It’s a one time sugar hit that fades to nothing. You are just left squatting in the ruins of a greater civilization - medieval Italian villagers grazing their sheep in the ruins of the Roman Forum, convinced that the shattered remnants around them must have been built by giants.
17 OCTOBRE : À Paris, des jeunes ayant pillé des commerces alimentaires auraient ensuite distribué une partie de la nourriture à des personnes sans-abri. Des images que certains médias ne montreront pas. 👏
