The backlash started with the fact that Lefty is the daughter of a billionaire, leading to accusations that she is an industry plant. Then came an obvious big reason “Boston” was catchy: a key part of the chorus bore an unmistakable resemblance to Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season.” When asked about the similarities, Lefty said she “was literally thinking about nothing at all” when writing the song.
As “Boston” approaches 300 million streams, Lefty has gone from “nepo” to “klepto” in the eyes of her antagonists.

After nearly a decade, Ridley Scott is returning to the ‘Alien’ franchise with a contemporary take.
He recently revealed that he’s “rewriting the next ‘Alien’ film,” which will serve as a long-awaited conclusion to his prequel trilogy that also includes ‘Prometheus’ (2012) and ‘Alien: Covenant’ (2017), with Michael Fassbender’s Walter One returning.
“I’m picking up where we left off in Covenant’ with Micheal Fassbender, who now thinks he’s Ozymandius... I like the fact that AI has gone off the rails,” said Scott. “If we go AI, the moment we discover it’s off the rails is too late. It could switch every digital thing off in the world like that. You’d have fucking chaos. It’s that kind of stuff that’s scary.”
