"Kanae! Hiya!" He smiled brightly and went to hug her but hesitated.

"I-I was attacked..." He explained weakly as he trembled.

"daddy was a demon and mommy was human... I don't eat humans though! I'm a vegetable-arean" He tried to explain. "Well... I eat animals but not humans" He was trying to make it make sense for both of them

"I-I guess" The demonic child would fall.

"I... I'm part demon... Yeah" The child backed away as he spoke, afraid of what the woman would think or do to him.

He trembled, holding the kimono over himself as he coughed a little. "Mhm"

He coughed out blood into his hands, gasping for air as colour rushed back to his face.

He kept coughing, it was getting harder and harder to breathe.

"I'm fine get o-" He started to cough very hard, struggling to breathe.
