Great beer, superior glassware, brilliant entertainment, underground. Taking COVID-safety seriously since 2020.

Since we don't need them any more, we've been putting lots of pieces of glassware, decorations and memorabilia on sale. Some items have been snapped up but we've found more to take their place:

We've learned that some good friends, who were here on Thursday evening, have tested positive for COVID.
Our ventilation was working hard on Thurs, but not enough to eliminate all risk.
The unlucky ones were in the area we call the Red Room, not the Lounge where the music was.
A few notes about our final day and night.
We’re expecting a fun few hours this evening, not least because the great Oscar Lavën is in charge of music. His all star quartet will take the stage some time after around 7:30 and play off and on for a while.

We’ve got some beautiful ParrotDog and Kererū beer on tap to get us through. But if you’re looking for the wide selection of bottled beer that we prided ourselves on, then today might not be the best day.

Tonight's bottle pour is very much from the cellar. 100ml each of the two variants of Modern Times Funky Universal Friend. The funky friend being brettanomyces!
Not every one of these sessions incorporates an organ.
Our regular jazz session happens at 7pm today. Mike Jensen is in charge, with help from Miles Crayford and Lockie Bennett. Plus others, in all likelihood!
No cover, just koha.

We're not impartial BUT tonight's live stream is a lot of fun to re-watch. A credit to those unsung heroes - microphones, webcams and a scene-switching macro. Oh, and the musicians.
It's also been suggested that we stream The Peking Pirates tonight. That should go out at 9pm at this link: youtube.com/live/YeWfD6Jzwps…
We've given into popular demand and put last night's terrific show by Bossa Nova Soul Samba up on youtube. Catch it here: youtube.com/watch?v=PucL1Wg7…
