The 2026 LFDT report mapped 80 institutional platforms already live or heading there, spanning DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream, Swift, Citi, HSBC, central banks and more. Hedera is named among the public networks, and Hiero sits inside the actual LFDT stack.
DTCC has been working on DLT for close to a decade. Patents from Securrency (now DTCC Digital Assets) list $HBAR alongside other chains.
Shared membership, open-source foundation, and a focus on interoperability means Hedera is in the room for the real settlement and collateral plumbing, not just another pilot. 👀
