The Finance Ministry @FinMinIndia and @RBI need to better understand the difference between productive and unproductive work.
Instead of reducing paperwork and unnecessary compliance, they keep adding more requirements for everyone, often without any sensible thresholds.
Another example - under FEMA ODI regulations, RBI has apparently directed AD Banks that APRs (Annual Performance Reports) need audited financial statements of the overseas entity, even when the host country itself does not require them under a certain threshold.
If you can't support startups, at least don't hinder them.

🚨 New RBI rule for anyone invoicing clients outside India, effective 1 October 2026.
Service and software exporters (freelancers, IT firms, consultants, tutors) now need to file an Export Declaration Form (EDF).

The wildly opposite ai programming takes are a sign the folks calling it over are missing what's possible, because they were limited by what they came from. Dream bigger!

me: "omg there's so many things I can build in Elixir"

Reddit is coping with reality about as well as you'd expect.
This is the biggest favour @dhh has done for the community instead of trying to keep it alive well past its sell by date.
Ruby and Rails were amazing. They been obsoleted. Go find something else to do.
Whole shopify will be rewritten in whatever language happens to be around. No one will even notice.
Don’t hold too tightly to these things. It’s all illusion.
To say that I am shocked by everything that is happening now at the stage of the #railsworld is to say nothing…

the problem is in this sector few have relevant experience anymore
it's a brave new world
The 10x engineer was always mythical.
The 100x engineer — one senior + the agents they direct — is real. I watched it work this year.
Same pattern runs through every role. Which half of your job is translation, and which half is judgement?

My new annotator identifies keycaps in keycap sets (for further training).
Powered OpenCV & yolo-11n-seg model trained IN THE BROWSER for every image!
I label a few keycaps, then the predict button trains a model on this image (8 secs) & predicts other keycaps.

Thanks to LLM powered coding, anyone can feel ambitious enough to emulate Chris Sawyer and say "I'll also make a management strategy game all by myself"
5 hours of coding into it, you'll realise why everyone is not (and will not anytime soon) become Chris Sawyer magically, but oh boy, you'll surely have a lot of fun, and a game will surely get built, however not anywhere close to Rollet Coaster Tycoon 🥲

I'm building an AI side project, and my eval process is embarrassingly manual.
For those who've figured this out, what does your setup actually look like? Tools, process, the whole thing.
P.S: My outputs need some level of grading, not just LLM-as-a-judge.

open sourcing the full speed debugging journey for TurboQuant on Metal.
the timeline:
2.4 tok/s > Metal silently falling back to CPU (bad #include)
10.7 tok/s > real Metal numbers
739 tok/s prefill > fp32 WHT rotation
1074 tok/s prefill > fp16 WHT (45% speedup, zero quality loss)
Metal gotcha that cost me hours: if you #include a custom header in ggml-metal.metal, the embedded metallib compiles fine but runtime JIT fails silently. your "GPU kernel" is actually running on CPU.
