Connecticut lost 5,500 private sector jobs in 2025 while total jobs were only down by 2,200. This is because the government added 3,200 jobs.
Connecticut needs to focus on business growth, not continuing to grow its bureaucracy.

Connecticut was one of the worst states for job growth in December and ranked #40 in job growth for the year.

I'm exploring a run for Governor of Connecticut because this state is at a crossroads. It has drifted away from the principles that made it prosperous: free enterprise, limited and efficient government, and focus on opportunity. I intend to get us back on track. đşđ¸

In CT, your electric bill isnât just for electricity â itâs a âstealth taxâ funding state policies.

Are you prepared for your utilities bill this month?
Wholesale electricity day ahead prices are above $500/MWH due to peak demand (that is extremely high).
This is why â look at the resource mix chart: ~30% of the grid is powered by oil.

New England hit what looks to be an all-time record last hour, generating 43% of its electricity from oil.

As a major storm hits New England tomorrow, CT residents will again pay some of the highest electricity prices in the country.
Bad policy in Connecticut has limited natural gas access and continues to cost CT families.

The Connecticut Republican Primary for Governor field may not be settled yet, even with the entry of former NY Lt. Gov Betsy McCaughey. Former State Rep Harry Arora (@HarryForCT), formed an exploratory committee for a run on Tuesday.
Arora ran for State Treasurer in 2022. Though he loss, he was the best performing Republican on the statewide ballot that year, losing by 7.4 pts to Democrat Erick Russell.
Still a lot of time for the field to form. The state convention won't be until around May. But we might potentially have a 4-way battle for the nomination.

Replying to @GovNedLamont
@GovNedLamont is wrong. High prices are caused by lack of gas pipeline capacity during the winter. The only solution is pipeline expansion. Bashing the utilities is not going to solve the problem. Expanding the gas pipeline will. Click to read my note. eomail1.com/web-version?p=dbâŚ

Connecticut's debt has increased from $65 Billion to $100B in the past 5 years. Not exactly a debt diet. ⤾ď¸
Another problem, Republican Harry Arora said, is that âwe have not been on a âdebt diet,ââ despite Lamontâs frequent calls for the state to embrace such a strategy.
At least on paper, Connecticutâs debt actually has grown since 2017. đ ctmirror.org/2022/11/04/ct-tâŚ

I have 20+ yrs experience as a portfolio manager & Chief Investment Officer. My opponent is a lawyer with NO formal education in business or economics & NO experience in finance or investing. NO private sector firm would entertain him to be its Treasurer.
