It was an honor to create this performance to celebrate our Dear PV!
Dear Prairie View made its world premiere at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center last night, taking audiences on a powerful journey through the history, culture and spirit of The Hill.
From the Alta Vista Eight to generations of Panthers who followed, the production celebrated the resilience, creativity, activism, traditions and people that have shaped Prairie View A&M University for 150 years - told through music, dance, spoken word and visual storytelling.
Featuring an incredible collection of PVAMU-affiliated artists and creatives, including our own Classic Dance Ensemble, Dear Prairie View was more than a performance. It was our story. A beautiful celebration of where we’ve been, who we are and the legacy we continue to build.
Rooted in Resilience. Rising in Eminence.
💜💛

Jasmine Crockett has an opportunity to unite and mobilize Black Texans and they are scared. 🤣
Jasmine Crockett about to learn the hard way that most Texans are very different from her district, her base & her values.
She’ll be pummeled for her progressive socialist agenda & get crushed by the Republican nominee for Senate.
The Texas political cemetery is filled with blow hards like her who have no idea what it’s like to run statewide.
Looking forward to watching the circus-- and KEEPING the US Senate seat red.
On the bright side for her, maybe she’ll end up with a job on The View

Jesus, what is happening?
Do white people really still feel that ghetto is an insult, in 2025?, in this economy? Baby America IS the ghetto.
Why these bishes be trifling?
Girl if you Finna play with me you best be ready for the truth I be spittin on yo weave.
I can spit mad bars Jasmine.
Baby girl don’t like the taste of her own medicine.
You feels me? @JasmineForUS
They are literal quotes. Why is happening.
To my friends on the political Right: I understand the feeling that people are putting words into Charlie Kirk's mouth. At some level, I agree and share your frustration.
Try to remember: a lot of people loved Charlie. It is natural for them to debate his views and his legacy. In fact, I think Charlie would welcome that.
But for now, let's celebrate our friend, remember his impact, and save the debate for after his funeral.
Watching the party of Jan6 try to rebrand the “when they go, we go high” party as the violent party, right before our eyes is just fascinating.
Great. Just what we need to get us out of the bottom half ranking in education. A framework of teaching about more white people.
The Texas State Board of Education has adopted a new framework to teach American Exceptionalism and Texas freedoms.
Our students will learn more about the history, values, and legacy that make Texas truly great.

Where do we send complaints about TEA? @teainfo
This is why we are ranked on the bottom half for K-12 in education. Yall worried about whiteness more than education.
Being a Black person in America is quite the journey, but also being a Black person in Texas…. Whew! What a mess. We should get free therapy.
“Gang of youths” lmaoooo the violence is in your head Willie!!
We can barely get the shirt order right, so I knew that having actual data was questionable.
New from me: There was a viral post that claimed Black family reunions had "dropped 47% since 1997." But where did that statistic come from?

Did you all try posting the 10 commandments in your home first?
Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds.
I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage.
I move forward with complete confidence that God is always working everything together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.
