Is Ursula von der Leyen (and consequently the European Commission) an "invertebrate"?
The "ratification" of the so-called MOU by the Libyan Parliament between Libya and Turkey for the delimitation of their maritime borders is null and void - it is an unenforceable document, a void instrument, an instrument of coercion and fraud.
You, however, Frau @vonderleyen (and the rest of your EU clique) is partly to blame for it: It is you that is dying for making Turkey, a pirate-country by your own always meandering "admission", a vital component for the Union's defence.
On a directly related note Frau von der Leyen, whenever a statement of yours, of the European Commission's, begins with "We deeply regret," we recognize that it is going to be another hypocritical without a backbone¹ statement, one of no resolve.
You, Frau von der Leyen, are going all out to making the EU irrelevant. An EU of structural paralysis - geopolitical, military, and tech irrelevance.

We deeply regret the ratification today by the Libyan Parliament of the so-called Libyan-Türkiye Memorandum of Understanding on the delimitation of maritime jurisdictions in the Mediterranean Sea.
We recall that the EU’s position on this matter was clearly stated by the European Council in 2019 and remains unchanged.
This agreement infringes upon the sovereign rights of third states, it does not comply with the Law of the Sea, and is null and void.
We reaffirm our solidarity with Greece and Cyprus.
We reiterate the EU's well known position against any outside interference in Libya.

Dr. Michael Rubin @mrubin1971 - a former high-ranking U.S. Pentagon official, senior fellow at the AEI, and one of the most influential analysts - spearheaded the shift in the U.S. stance toward Turkey a decade ago.
▪️He is at the forefront of those driving the discussion within Washington's think tanks, centers of institutional power, and policy-making circles regarding the prospect of Turkey’s expulsion from NATO - whether de jure or de facto - by reducing it to a "member in name only."
▪️He is not only persona non grata to the Erdoğan regime but also a wanted man with a bounty on his head. In June 2017, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan filed a lawsuit against him in a Turkish court for alleged support of, and the commission of offences in favour of, the terrorist network of Fethullah Gülen.
Subsequently, Turkey sent a court order to X (Twitter) demanding the suspension of Rubin's account because, as it claimed, he had criticized the purges in Turkey and claimed that the Turkish president was leading his country to ruin. In December 2017, a business ally of Erdoğan offered a reward of three million Turkish liras (nearly $800,000) for assistance in bringing Rubin to Turkey to face terrorism charges related to the 2016 coup attempt.
▪️Rubin had tweeted in Turkish that backing Erdoğan was "support for corruption and the collapse of Turkey". He also accused Erdoğan of using the failed July 2016 coup attempt as a pretext to "purge society of political and ideological opponents."
In response to the lawsuit, Rubin doubled down on his comments, stating on Twitter that he would not sacrifice his freedom of expression and reiterated his allegations regarding corruption in the Turkish government.

EU BOYCOTT COP31 UNTIL CYPRUS IS TREATED AS AN EQUAL MEMBER🚨
Turkey’s President @RTErdogan invited the leaders of 26 EU member states to the COP31 climate conference in Antalya while deliberately excluding the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
Instead of demanding equal treatment for all 27 member states, the weak EU negotiated a face saving workaround with Turkey via unsigned invitations emailed by a temporary Turkish organising body through Brussels. This lets Cyprus attend formally while leaving the original discrimination intact and imposing no real political cost on Turkey.
The European Council issued only a vague call for “equal participation” and “solidarity” without red lines drawn. The priority was avoiding any collective EU decision on attendance and protecting closer defence and security cooperation with Turkey.
This is the institutionalisation of second class status for an EU member state, nothing to do with diplomacy. The incompetent EU authorities never even tested whether Turkey would send a proper invitation to the Cypriot president, as expected, it simply accepted the limits Turkey set.
All EU member states should boycott COP31 in Antalya unless Turkey issues identical invitations to every EU leader, including the President of the Republic of Cyprus and treats Cyprus exactly as it treats the other 26 without side arrangements, unsigned workarounds and certainly without exceptions.
If one member can be singled out with the EU’s tacit acceptance, the principle of equal membership is already compromised. The EU’s willingness to lower its standards here exposes a deeper weakness that Turkey continues to exploit.
Shame on the European Commission and the Council for managing this by accommodating the discriminator rather than defending the discriminated. Cyprus is not a lesser partner. Treat Cyprus as an equal partner or stay home.
The riots in France are a warning to Europe whole.

In Greece, Scott met officials and discussed strengthening the U.S.-Greece alliance, NATO cooperation, and deterring Russian aggression in the region.
He also discussed the importance of both nations’ relationships with Israel and support for the United States in the ongoing war with Iran.
It’s great to see a US Senator push back on Muslim Brotherhood thug Erdogan.
Turkey shouldn’t even be allowed to be in NATO, and Turkey should NEVER be allowed to acquire F-35 fighter jets.
Luckily, Senator Scott understands the threat Turkey and Erdogan’s jihadist ideology poses to the world.

Ο κ. Αβέρωφ Νεοφύτου ζητά άρση των ενεργειακών κυρώσεων κατά της Ρωσίας.
Αποστασιοποιούμενος από τις δηλώσεις του, χωρίς ωστόσο να προβαίνει σε ευθείες πειθαρχικές κατηγορίες ο @DISY1976 για τον πρώην πρόεδρο του και νυν βουλευτή του δήλωσε πως η πρόταση του για τις κυρώσεις της Ρωσίας είναι προσωπικές του κ. Νεοφύτου.
Ο κ. Νεοφύτου υπογράμμισε ότι οι παρεμβάσεις του γίνονται στο πλαίσιο του δημόσιου διαλόγου, με γνώμονα το καλό του τόπου και της παράταξης.
Άποψη μου: Οι «προσωπικές» παρεμβάσεις ενός πρώην προέδρου και νυν βουλευτή, και δη υποψηφίου για το «χρίσμα» του υποψήφιου του κόμματος για τις Προεδρικές Εκλογές 2028, φέρουν ειδικό βάρος. «Προσωπικές» δεν μπορούν να είναι.
Όσο αφορά την ενότητα και τη δημόσια εικόνα της παράταξης, άμεσα την επηρεάζει.
Όσο αφορά το «καλό του τόπου», κ. Νεοφύτου, του τουρκοκρατούμενου (κομματιού του) τόπου, προϊόν εισβολής και κατοχής - όπως και της εισβολής της Ρωσίας και κατοχής κομματιού της Ουκρανίας - δηλώνω αηδιασμένος, έκπληκτος όχι.

Καλώ τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας να θέσει στην ΕΕ θέμα άρσης των ενεργειακών κυρώσεων κατά της Ρωσίας
Το πετρέλαιο κίνησης στην Κύπρο έχει ξεπεράσει τα δύο ευρώ το λίτρο. Κάθε αύξηση στο κόστος της ενέργειας και των μεταφορών φτάνει τελικά στο καλάθι της νοικοκυράς, στις τιμές των βασικών αγαθών. Από το ψωμί και το γάλα μέχρι τα φρούτα και τα λαχανικά.
Και ας μην ξεχνάμε ότι η ακρίβεια είναι σωρευτική.Οι παλιές αυξήσεις παραμένουν και πάνω τους προστίθενται οι νέες. Το καλάθι της οικογένειας παραμένει ακριβό και απειλείται με νέες αυξήσεις, την ώρα που το εισόδημά της δεν ακολουθεί.
Πόσες ακόμη αυξήσεις μπορούν να απορροφήσουν οι χαμηλόμισθοι, οι συνταξιούχοι και η μεσαία τάξη;
Με τον χειμώνα να πλησιάζει, όλο και περισσότερα νοικοκυριά κινδυνεύουν να δυσκολευτούν να καλύψουν ακόμη και τις ανάγκες θέρμανσης.
Ορθώς η κυπριακή κυβέρνηση ζητά από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή μεγαλύτερη δημοσιονομική ευελιξία για τη στήριξη νοικοκυριών και επιχειρήσεων απέναντι στη νέα ενεργειακή κρίση.
Όμως, τα προσωρινά μέτρα ανακούφισης δεν αρκούν. Δεν μπορούμε να περιοριζόμαστε στη διαχείριση των συνεπειών της ακρίβειας. Πρέπει να αντιμετωπίσουμε και τις αιτίες της, αρχίζοντας από το ενεργειακό κόστος.
Υπάρχουν στιγμές που χρειάζεται να παίρνουμε τολμηρές αποφάσεις για να προστατεύσουμε τους πολίτες. Και σήμερα βρισκόμαστε μπροστά σε μια τέτοια στιγμή.
Οι τελευταίες διεθνείς εξελίξεις δημιουργούν νέα δεδομένα. Οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες χαλάρωσαν τις σχετικές κυρώσεις για την προμήθεια ρωσικού ντίζελ.
Αυτό επιβάλλει να επανεξετάσει και η Ευρώπη την πολιτική της.
Γι' αυτό καλώ τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας, στην επόμενη Σύνοδο Κορυφής της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, να θέσει επιτακτικά θέμα επανεξέτασης και άρσης των ενεργειακών κυρώσεων κατά της Ρωσίας.
Παράλληλα, στην Κύπρο χρειαζόμαστε εθνικό σχέδιο μόνιμης μείωσης της τιμής των καυσίμων και του κόστους ηλεκτρισμού, με επιτάχυνση της αποθήκευσης ενέργειας και καλύτερη αξιοποίηση των ανανεώσιμων πηγών.
Δεν γίνεται για κάθε 100 ευρώ που ο Κύπριος πληρώνει στα πρατήριο καυσίμων, τα 34-37 ευρώ να είναι φόροι. Και δεν γίνεται για κάθε 100 ευρώ που πληρώνει για ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα, τα 31 ευρώ είναι φόροι.
Επιπρόσθετα έχουμε το κόστος δικτύου και το πάγιο.
Δεν είναι δυνατόν οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες να χαλαρώνουν τις ενεργειακές κυρώσεις για να προστατεύσουν τη δική τους αγορά και η Ευρώπη να αρνείται ακόμη και να επανεξετάσει την πολιτική της.
Η επιδίωξη μιας δίκαιης και βιώσιμης ειρήνης στην Ουκρανία δεν αναιρεί την υποχρέωση προστασίας των Ευρωπαίων πολιτών.
Δεν μπορούμε να συνεχίσουμε να πυροβολούμε τα πόδια μας. Η Ευρώπη οφείλει να επιδείξει πολιτικό ρεαλισμό και η Κύπρος να αναλάβει πρωτοβουλία
Γιατί, στο τέλος της ημέρας, το πραγματικό ερώτημα είναι ένα:
Πώς θα τα βγάλει πέρα ο κόσμος;

AfD MP @KrahMax just completed a VIP visit to the illegal “TRNC” — the Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus, a non-recognized entity controlled by ~40,000 Turkish occupation troops on one of the world’s most militarized territories.
He now gave an interview to @clashreport (a known Turkish narrative outlet) fully aligned and repeating Erdoğan’s line:
“The mistake was that in 2004 we had EU enlargement. This was important for Germany. And then Greece blackmailed us and said: ‘We will only agree to EU enlargement in southeastern Europe if you agree to Cyprus.’ German diplomacy is unfortunately weak. Instead of going into a fight, they allowed Greece to blackmail us. So now we have Cyprus in the EU with an unresolved Cyprus question.”
Greece pushed the EU in the right direction protecting European and Greek interests the same way Germany regularly protects its own.
This is revisionist. The Republic of Cyprus is the only internationally recognized state on the island and an EU member state. Its accession protected European legal and political interests and was aligned to UNSC resolutions to end the occupation. It was not the result of Greek “blackmail.”
The 1974 Turkish invasion, the expulsion of ~200,000 Greek Cypriots, the continued military occupation, and the large-scale settlement of mainland Turks (which has reduced native Turkish Cypriots to a minority in the north) remain the core of the problem.

The control of Turkey's most-watched news channel, Halk TV, yesterday, holding broadcasts and installing a government approved administrator, is the latest move against media freedom from Erdogan regime.
In parallel, the block of websites and social media accounts has been established as a government policy.
On September 30, 2026, T24, one of Turkey's largest independent news sites, was blocked by the Istanbul 1st Criminal Court of Peace. Only last month, Turkish authorities issued suspension orders for at least 1,270 X accounts, which had over 35 million followers.
Freedom of expression in Turkey has deteriorated significantly over the past decade. Independent media outlets have been systematically closed, placed under state trusteeship, or subjected to heavy fires and regulatory pressure. Turkey ranks 163rd out of 180 countries in the Reporters Without Borders' world press freedom index.
Turkey violates the provisions of the North Atlantic Treaty, whose preamble declares “The Parties to this Treaty are determined to safeguard the freedom, common heritage and civilization of their peoples, founded on the principles of democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law”

Τα του @DISY1976 τα παράδοξα,
1. Το της «θυσίας» της κας. @AnnitaDemetriou, Προέδρου του ΔΗΣΥ - που μάλλον πάρθηκε για το δικό της, προσωπικό, συμφέρον² - δεν πείθει. Ο Δημοκρατικός Συναγερμός παραμένει διχασμένος, σε χειρότερη μάλιστα κατάσταση προ της «αυτοθυσίας» της. Τι έπεται φαντάζει χειρότερο.
2. Υποψήφιος για το «χρίσμα» του υποψήφιου του κόμματος για τις Προεδρικές Εκλογές 2028, ο κ. @AverofCY, είναι ο πρώτος υποψήφιος στην ιστορία του ΔΗΣΥ (Προεδρικές Εκλογές 2023) που δεν κατάφερε να περάσει στο Β' γύρο.
3. Το «Εάν δεν περάσει ο υποψήφιος μας στο Β' γύρο, δεν θα υποστηρίξουμε Νίκο Χριστοδουλίδη, θα υποστηρίξουμε τον υποψήφιο του ΑΚΕΛ.» δεν μπορώ να το καταλάβω.
Πρώτον, η άποψη πως φταίει ο κ. @Christodulides για το κατάντημα του κόμματος δυσκολεύομαι να το καταλάβω. Δεν ήταν ο κ. Νεοφύτου αυτός που τότε το 2023, όπως και τώρα, προσπάθησε να προκαταλάβει τις αποφάσεις του κόμματος του εξαγγέλλοντας σπεύδειν την υποψηφιότητα του;
Δεύτερον, θα επαναλάβει ο «δεξιός» ΔΗΣΥ και στις Προεδρικές του 2028 το ίδιο λάθος να υποστηρίξει στον Β' γύρο, αφού να περάσει ο υποψήφιος του μάλλον αποκλείεται, υποψήφιο του κομμουνιστικού ΑΚΕΛ;
4. Μετά από τα τεκταινόμενα στην άμεση της Κύπρου περιοχή, μετά που χιλιαπόδειξε ο τούρκος και οι πλείστοι των τουρκοκυπρίων τις προθέσεις των, πως μπορούν ακόμη να υπάρχουν εντός του ΔΗΣΥ «οπαδοί της όποιας λύσης» και δει υποψήφιος/οι που υποστηρίζουν την όποια λύση;
Πέραν και πάνω από τα προαναφερθέντα:
Δεν φαίνεται να το έχουν ακόμη αντιληφθεί οι ιθύνοντες στον ΔΗΣΥ. Πάσχουν ακόμη να αντιληφθούν ότι ο Δημοκρατικός Συναγερμός παραπαίει γιατί και επειδή υιοθέτησαν, πρόβαλαν και ακόμη προβάλουν τα του «Σχεδίου Ανάν» ως λύση, παρακούοντας και την εντολή του λαού.

¹ Το πρόβλημα της ενότητας οφείλεται κυρίως στην Πρόεδρο του ΔΗΣΥ. Ως πρόεδρος του κόμματος όφειλε να φροντίσει γι' αυτό.
² Η καρέκλα πάνω από το κόμμα, κυριότερα όμως, πάνω από το συμφέρον της πατρίδας, δεν είναι «αήπιν» μόνο της κας. Δημητρίου.

Δεν φαίνεται να το έχουν ακόμη αντιληφθεί οι ιθύνοντες στον @DISY1976. Πάσχουν ακόμη να αντιληφθούν ότι ο Δημοκρατικός Συναγερμός παραπαίει γιατί και επειδή υιοθέτησαν, πρόβαλαν και ακόμη προβάλουν τα του «Σχεδίου Ανάν» ως λύση, παρακούοντας και την εντολή του λαού.
Πλανώμενοι, έχουν τη ψευδαίσθηση, ότι ανακατεύοντας τα τραπουλόχαρτα είναι «λύση». Ούτε για να ορθοποδήσει ο ΔΗΣΥ είναι λύση ούτε για να ελευθερωθεί η Κύπρος είναι! Ο Έλληνας της Κύπρου όσο απαθής και να είναι κατά περιόδους (και κακώς) απέδειξε πως κουτόχορτο δεν τρώει.
Επαναλαμβάνω, όσο οι διαπεδαγωγημένοι από και οι κατά γράμμα ακολουθούντες οπαδοί της σαφώς επί δεκαετίες αποτυχημένης πολιτικής του κ. Ιωάννη Κασουλίδη παραμεριστούν ή «διαπεδαγωγηθούν», ο Δημοκρατικός Συναγερμός δεν θα ορθοποδήσει!

Με δυνατότητα προσβολής στρατηγικών στόχων σε μεγάλο βάθος εντός του εχθρικού εδάφους (εμβέλεια: 90 έως 430 χλμ.) από κινητές ή θαλάσσιες πλατφόρμες, το σύστημα εκτοξεύει κεφαλές υψηλής εκρηκτικότητας με ακρίβεια πλήγματος (CEP) 10 μέτρων.
