"#1Percent4Parks is more than an investment in @NYCParks, it’s an investment in safety for all of our homes and businesses. It’s past time that @NYCMayor and @NYCCouncil made it a reality"

Grateful to @Kristin4Harlem for the tour of Marcus Garvey Park in #Harlem with the Future Giants!
Even though it was 27 degrees, we received a warm welcome. Loved hearing about your Green 2 Greener Initiative, a capital project with @nycparks for green investments. 1/3 🧵
“The residents of West Harlem deserve safe parks”.
Well said by our own coalition member and @stnickpark president Karen Asner.

We also need to fix existing toilets in our Harlem Parks. @CMShaunAbreu two of the three restrooms in our park have been closed for months. The third is in disgusting condition. Our parks have been our refuge during the pandemic. Let’s fix the facilities we have AND build more.
The #HarlemYouthGardeners Sunday team are working in @NYCmorningside today. After three more weeks they will transition to @stnickpark.
Thanks to @WestHarlemDC and all our amazing donors who support this program!
The Spring 2022 session of our Harlem Youth Gardeners program is underway!
Thanks to @WestHarlemDC for underwriting this program in @stnickpark and @NYCmorningside. We had over 300 applicants for 24 positions! We are looking to expand the program this summer.
Congratulations to two of our member organizations for keeping this wonderful program going this Spring. We are hoping to raise funds to bring it to all four parks in the summer.

So many great tree lights in Harlem this Saturday!
We love the way our #Harlem park community comes together at this annual event. This year we celebrate our 40yr partnership with @nycparks. We couldn't dream of lighting the tallest living holiday tree in the city without their help!

Equitable access to parks & open spaces has never been a reality in NYC. Research from @tpl_org confirms it again: areas with less wealth and white people have less parks and of lesser quality.
We need a #ParksMayor2021 who's going to change this!
