At this price, expect tons of cross generation games.
Sony's PlayStation 6 price is set to surpass $1,000, as RAM and SSD costs alone have risen over $680. 🔗 wccf.tech/1lebv

🚨CONFIRMED:
#XBOX Helix, The Next-Generation console, will feature a Built-in Disc Drive.
#Microsoft is expanding its Xbox physical supply operation:
🔹Manufacturing.
🔹Global distribution.
🔹Sales and channel execution.
🔹Inventory positioning across the full product lifecycle.
This will create a HUGE shift in the industry. This is a massive win for Xbox and leaves #Sony cornered by their reckless 2028 digital-only decision.

Witnessing the father of PlayStation openly defend Sony's decision to kill physical discs and is quoted as saying game ownership is a "mentality" is really, really disheartening... to say the least

multi billion dollar corporation that “cant afford” discs lmao this company is a fucking joke
"The Father of PlayStation" Ken Kutaragi has backed Sony's controversial decision to scrap discs on PS5:
"I understand that physical discs have become a metaphor for ‘owning’ games... but I don't think it's economically reasonable." bit.ly/4zB7qhl
Extremely disappointing smh.
Replying to @melito2344
METRO 2039 will require an initial download as the game does not fit fully on one disc. To make sure our community gets to experience the game at the same time, you will need an internet connection initially to unlock the game. The game does not otherwise require internet.
My copy of Hellraiser Revival arrived 😀

A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games.
Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games.
The proposal would give players three basic rights:
>The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license
>The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode
>The right to transfer or resell games they own
Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place.
Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy:
“If you pay for it, you own it.”

Study Finds Almost Half of PS5 Disc Backlash Came from Fake Accounts pushsquare.com/news/2026/10/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The “nearly 50%” claim is misleading: 43% refers to replies on specific posts, not the entire backlash. Posting the same comment across 3 posts doesn't prove an account is a bot; users may use alternate accounts for privacy. Repetition alone isn't proof of inauthenticity.
