3. Demand an unfettered humanitarian corridor and scaled funding for organizations providing critical survivor care.
4. Call for an independent international mechanism that advances survivor-centered justice and accountability.
The end!
This violence must end. Here’s how you can help:
1. Categorically condemn all acts of CRSV, regardless of who commits them or their affiliation.
2. Pressure all parties to issue and enforce strict anti-CRSV orders and prosecute perpetrators within their ranks.
The consequences of these gaps in care are catastrophic, increasing survivors’ risk of HIV infection, unintended pregnancy, complications from untreated injuries, and lasting physical and psychological harm.
Even those who overcome the odds to reach health facilities are going untreated, as Tigray’s health system, still devastated by the 2020–2022 war, faces critical shortages of medicines and supplies.
Meanwhile, ongoing hostilities and damaged transport routes are keeping survivors from reaching health facilities in time to receive critical post-rape care.
In that same zone, another woman survived a gang rape by two members of the Tigray Peace Forces (TPF).
In western Tigray, an Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) soldier raped an internally displaced mother of three in front of her children.
Among the reported cases are harrowing accounts of survival, including that of a young woman in southern Tigray who was gang-raped by five members of the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF).
Amid this violence, health facilities are reporting a surge in new cases, leaving survivors trapped with little access to lifesaving care and no accountability.
Conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) is resurging in Tigray as renewed warfare plunges the region back into terror!

If you stop hearing from #Tigray please remember that the people here can’t wait any longer for a response to the drought.
The source of this graphic is the drought impact assessment done last month by the DRMC. Please steal it and use it to get the word out. #TigrayCantWait
#Tigray is once again engulfed in a devastating war, putting millions of civilians at grave risk.
Alongside 17 Tigrayan organizations, we demand an immediate ceasefire, an end to the systemic siege & a political settlement that addresses the root causes & secures lasting peace.
Happy Ge’ez New Year from all of us at Harambee Collective!
As we welcome this new season, our deepest hope is for a brighter future for Tigray and for our people to be free from the burdens they have endured for far too long.

We join @OmnaTigray @GemTigray and other fellow organizations in demanding #JusticeForZewdu. Her case exposes a critical question: Who does the justice system in Tigray truly exist to protect? This is its test and it cannot afford to fail.
We stand in unwavering solidarity with her family, women’s rights advocates & civil society organizations across Tigray in demanding the immediate reversal of this unjust decision & the restoration of accountability for Zewdu’s killing.
