A 6-years journey together with Brunger's group come to fruition~ We used Cryo-EM to identify a novel binding partner for V-ATPase. Cryo-ET provided insights into its role with V-ATPase distribution. Plus, our knockout mice showed a related phenotype~ nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

Sooooo proud of you, my dearest friend! You have made such an exceptional impact on the field of neurodegenerative diseases!
Thrilled to see our Lewy fold paper online! We found the alpha-synuclein filaments share the same structure in PD, PDD and DLB. Great thanks to ⁦@MichelGoed⁩ and ⁦@SjorsScheres⁩ support! Thanks to everyone who makes this happen!! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

This lab has postdoc positions open, using the in situ structural biology methods to study protein homeostasis 😉😉
#PKUResearch Published in Nucleic Acids Research, #PKU researcher Guo Qiang's group from the School of #LifeSciences, together with collaborators, developed an algorithm for the detection and profiling of polyribosomes, which was selected as a NAR #Breakthrough Article.

ribosomes are not tiny machines 😂
HHMI News: Tiny cellular machines called ribosomes build proteins. When this building process goes awry in bacteria, ribosomes collide, triggering the arrival of a first responder molecule that begins a rescue operation. bit.ly/3vRGkF0
