Seventy-five years ago, Britain helped write the European Convention on Human Rights. It protects fairness, liberty and the rule of law. Those attacking it now are not defending Britain. They are trying to free government from accountability. We must defend it.

Doing well avoiding lol What did a complete leave look like? What would it give you? This “we did not get the Brexit we wanted” is utter nonsense as you were never given a genuine plan by the Brexit blunderers You were sold a lie, and it’s on the clowns that voted for it!
This #bbcqt audience member (how did he get in?) absolutely nails it on Brexit. “The Remainers never accepted the result.” “The Brexit we voted for wasn’t delivered and left us in a half way house.” “The EU is crumbling and our future doesn’t lie within it.” A fine summary.

Trying to stay out of shit like this But, if we had remained in the EU maybe, just maybe our GREAT standing and leadership in the world not just Europe. Shows the people of France of Germany that they should not Acquiesce to the right. That is how important we were in the EU.
Brexiter, "The politicians that delivered Brexit, did not deliver Brexit" My view: This is not the Brexit I voted for latest. There was never a clear definition of what “Leave” meant. That was part of the problem from the start: voters were offered a binary choice, but no agreed plan for what would replace EU membership. Some promised frictionless trade and close cooperation; others wanted a much cleaner break. Those were different versions of Brexit, and the campaign never settled which one the country was choosing. So when someone says politicians “didn’t deliver Brexit”, the obvious question is: which Brexit? The UK left the EU, the single market and the customs union, and ended free movement. But geography and practical realities did not disappear: Britain still needs trade, cooperation and workable arrangements with its closest neighbours. Northern Ireland made that especially clear. “Half in, half out” is a slogan, not a plan. A more complete break would mean spelling out the costs — more barriers to trade, less cooperation and difficult choices over Northern Ireland. Brexit’s failure was not simply that politicians failed to deliver an undefined promise. It was that the promise was never honest or specific enough for voters to judge what they were actually being asked to choose.

Open the vaults U2… or is it Universal? I know R&H documents the Joshua Tree tour and we have loads of JT stuff out there. But I would love to hear more of the making of ‘Hum. The reception of it ( which I worshipped ) and the slide into Achtung Baby
On this day, October 10 in 1988, U2 released their album “Rattle and Hum.” 17 days later they released the film, directed by Phil Joanou. Panned by critics but adored by fans, it captured U2’s grandeur in black-and-white cinematic film. Do you remember the intro and when it turns to color? 📽️ Watch it again

Mmm Martinez… I just don’t have the love or patience for him any more. Not sure we’ll ever know what truly happened, and it’s knee jerk from me, but it harmed his legacy and honestly I think a keeper would be my transfer window priority (this or next).

#OnThisDay 50 years ago - 6 January 1976 The first episode of Rentaghost was broadcast. The original lyrics to the well-known theme tune were rejected, but then played at the end of two episodes: "At your party have a séance and hire Rentaghost We have medium sized tables here at

‼️🚨Sophie Ridge: “You’ve secured trading terms with the US that are worse than they were before Brexit.” Wes Streeting: “I don’t dispute that.” 🔥 And there it is 🔥 Brexit made Britain weak and that’s why it will continue to make us poorer until with rejoin the EU.

Unai Emery should be top of any list of any top club in the world that is looking for a manager But if you think he would leave Aston Villa now, it means you haven't properly understood what he is feeling about the work he is doing #RiseoftheVillans

Why would you think this is a good outlook to have?! Here’s my take, I pay my taxes and I am not bitter about that. I could be aggrieved that they are not used as well as they could be. That is an argument I could have. Not this selfish view, with zero empathy
Alex Phillips gives the mood of the average British person right now
