With the long-standing Adidas 'Starball' panel design tied to the German brand since 2001, the upcoming transition raises major questions about how UEFA and Nike will shape the tournament's visual presence. Designer mazzzzinga has stepped in with a fascinating personal concept project exploring a bold, Swoosh-powered Champions League brand identity. Two primary emblem variations take center stage: one featuring sharp, radiating Swooshes that form a five-pointed star, and another where dynamic, interlocking curved blades create a hypnotic pinwheel star. The concept extends well beyond a standalone logo. Mazzzzinga created mockups demonstrating how the new visual language would look in real-world broadcast environments and stadium rituals, including the famous pre-match center circle banner ceremony.
