The latest major poll from the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) Public Opinion Poll, published on August 12, 2026, shows Marwan Barghouti remains highly popular and stands as the clear frontrunner to lead the Palestinian Authority.
When Palestinians were asked who is the most suitable figure to succeed current Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas, Barghouti was the top choice:
•Marwan Barghouti: 39%
•Khalil al-Hayya (Hamas): 16%
•Mohammed Dahlan (Former Fatah official): 15%
•Mustafa Barghouti (Independent): 6%
In a three-way race among likely voters, Barghouti captures a decisive majority, pulling more than double the support of the runner-up:
•Marwan Barghouti: 54%
•Khalil al-Hayya (Hamas): 26%
•Mahmoud Abbas (Current PA President): 14%

For years, Hamze Awawde has been one of the most prominent Palestinian faces in the international NGO-run "peace" industry, selling the world lies about "dialogue" and "coexistence" while normalizing the inherently genocidal colony of "Israel" and masking the reality of an ongoing Nakba.
