Prashant Kishor made an important point while speaking to a journalist regarding the SIR row: this fight should not be limited to removing one CEC.
If an officer or IT wing has the power to add or delete names from voter lists citing “logical discrepancies,” then the process, authority and accountability behind it need to be examined.
Removing Gyanesh Kumar alone won’t address the larger questions surrounding the Election Commission.
Don’t just change the person. Fix the system.

Prashant Kishor tried convincing opposition parties in Bihar to boycott the 2025 election after BJP-JDU government distributed 10 thousand rupees to 1.5 crore women.
Everyone was convinced except for the 9th fail led RJD.

Prashant Kishor has made another big announcement ahead of the MLC election. Educated youth in Darbhanga can submit their resumes at the Jan Suraaj office, and he has promised to provide another 10,000 jobs, similar to what he did after winning the Bankipur by-election. But this time, the announcement has come even before the election.
Jan Suraaj has fielded Dr. Mohammad Imtiyaz Noorani for the upcoming Darbhanga Graduate MLC election.

Prashant Kishor blasted a journalist when the journalist asked him about the floods in Bihar and why he was not visiting the affected areas and distributing chura.
His answer was apt and to the point, this will not solve Bihar’s ever-lasting flood problem. It is merely being done for PR.

Prashant Kishor says that simply changing one person or asking for the resignation of one CEC will not solve the problem.
According to him, the Election Commission itself needs structural reforms.
He suggested:
• More transparency in the appointment and functioning of Election Commissioners, with a role for the Supreme Court
• Opposition parties should have a meaningful role in the electoral process
• Voter rolls should be available digitally in a machine-readable format so they can be independently checked
• Booth-wise Form 17C data should be made public immediately after polling
• Any change in voter turnout figures should be clearly explained
• Election schedules should be transparent and fair
• There should be stronger action against money and financial inducements during elections
His basic point is simple: the election process should be so transparent and verifiable that people don’t have to depend on political claims and counterclaims to trust the result.

I seriously question the credibility of the HR who shortlisted former Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar as a contender for a top financial leadership role at HDFC Bank.
How can someone with Election Commission experience even be considered for a financial leadership role at this level?
Who is this HR, and who approved this candidature? Both should be fired immediately. 😄

Prashant Kishor makes a big claim about “vote chori” by the NDA government.
He says that if you want to defeat an NDA candidate, the contest has to be one-sided. According to him, you cannot afford a close contest because it becomes easier for the NDA to manipulate 5,000–10,000 votes with the help of the Election Commission.

One of the best thing about Prashant Kishor is that he is not a populist.

He should be the Leader of Opposition in place of Rahul Gandhi.

#WATCH | Delhi: In the CEC row, Jan Suraaj Founder Prashant Kishor says, "The credibility and reputation of the Election Commission have not been compromised merely by an Indian Express report... There should be a nationwide discussion on how a former CEC has today become the chairman of the country's largest private bank... The Election Commission's credibility has been tarnished due to its style of functioning over the past several years—specifically, the manner in which it has discharged its responsibilities, both during elections and otherwise. This debate has been ongoing for the last 10 years... The ruling party, the BJP, appears to exert influence over everything—from the scheduling of election dates to the number of phases in which elections are conducted... Comprehensive measures must be taken to make the entire electoral process transparent. The Supreme Court should play a role in this... The opposition has no role in the process of appointing Election Commissioners or in the broader conduct of elections... Opposition parties are able to win elections only where there is a massive wave of sentiment against the BJP..."

When a journalist asked Prashant Kishor about Ashok Chaudhary saying that “such small incidents keep happening,” PK challenged him to show one video of a similar incident from America or Japan, as Ashok Chaudhary was seen saying in a video.
He said it is very insensitive to call such incidents “small” instead of condemning them and taking action.

We need to search for only 241 good and deserving people in Bihar.
One is Prashant Kishor himself, and the other one is me. 😉
Jokes apart, we genuinely believe Bihar has countless good-hearted people who are willing to come forward, take responsibility, become leaders and help build a society and political system where everyone gets the opportunity to thrive and achieve excellence.
Maybe the real challenge is not finding good people in Bihar, but finding and bringing them into public life.

First, let it become clear who is actually running the government — Lallan Babu or Samrat Chaudhary.
Once that is settled, they can decide on the DGP appointment.

Prashant Kishor said Jan Suraaj will not make excuses by saying, “We could not work because we were stopped from doing so,” or that the NDA government did not provide the necessary support to fulfil its promises.
“We will take responsibility and deliver whatever we have promised.”

At the City Post Conclave, after his interview, Prashant Kishor asked City Post Live founder and Chief Editor Shrikant Pratyush to ask the CM three questions when he takes the stage later:
1. After the Jamuai incident, when will he resign?
2. When will the Physics University be ready, and where will it be located?
3. Can he name the schools where children are being made to study till 11 PM?
And PK’s final point was even more important: the discussion should be about education, healthcare and job creation, not just encounters and half-encounters.

Bank employees are not asking for luxury. They are asking for a basic 5-day working week.
If Sunday bank opening can be approved within 24 hours, why has 5-day banking remained pending for so long?
Appeals are fine, but pressure, threats or targeting probationary officers is not.
Bankers are an essential part of the economy. Their concerns deserve to be heard, not ignored.
Stand peacefully. Stand lawfully. Stand together. ✊

This is getting really concerning.
A Jan Suraaj leader was shot multiple times in Patna by three armed men, and the CCTV footage has captured the attackers.
Samrat Choudhary has been CM for months now, but incidents like this keep raising the same old question: Is the fear of law actually reaching criminals in Bihar?
If even the state capital isn’t safe, what should an ordinary Bihari expect?
Bihar deserves better than this.

Prashant Kishor has promised to stand with over 6 lakh teachers in Bihar by uniting all teacher groups under one Sangharsh Samiti (Struggle Committee).
Here are the 3 main promises made to the teachers:
1. 7th Pay Commission Scale: Making sure all teachers in Bihar get their salary based on the 7th Pay Commission scale before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
2. Equal Rights for All Teachers: Ending old systems like vitt-rahit (unfunded) and bringing all teachers into proper, recognized categories.
3. Stop Extra Work: Setting clear rules so teachers are not forced to do random non-teaching administrative work every day, allowing them to focus on teaching.
Prashant Kishor clarified that Jan Suraaj is not asking for votes to help, but will work directly with teachers to fight for their rights and improve standard of education in Bihar.
