Congratulations to Officer Alida Bates and the other graduates of the 200th class of the NH Police Academy! Officer Bates completed 16 weeks of academy training and will now complete an in-house training program in addition to a FTO program.

We are pleased to introduce our newest full-time police officer, Alida Bates. Her badge was presented by her father, Captain Scott Bates at her swearing-in at the Hampton Police Department this afternoon.

Officer Bates had previously served the department as a part-time Communications Specialist. She is a graduate of Timberlane High School and recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Fire Arson and Explosion Investigation from the University of New Haven.
According to Unitil, Hampton has 1,909 customers without power. They are assessing the outages. This is mainly affecting the beach area. For safety, the Hampton Police Dept. is opening our training room as a warming station for anyone who is in need of warmth during this outage.

The newest number of affected customers in 3,324. Unitil is aware and investiting the problem. The Hampton Police Department remains open as a warming station.

Traffic is temporarily closed on Lafayette Road between Swain Court and the High Street traffic lights due to a motor vehicle crash. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

‼️ The water tower on Church Street has sprung a leak. Aquarion is on scene and addressing the problem. Hampton Fire/Rescue and Hampton PD have Church Street between Ocean Blvd and the Highland Ave extension closed due to the flooding.
