Some great chat today from @theSPHSU ESPECIALLY into @natsywhite's chat about a multi pronged approach to change towards a more outdoors culture 🍂

A lot of academics are ableist in that they use an out of reach vocabulary while posturing for disability inclusion. Disability inclusion means learning and cognitive disabilities too, which means you’re keeping them out as well.
The best thing about this is that kids aren't afraid to shout at random folk 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING??' which is usually very endearing and results in EVERYONE learning something.
I love the hills but this definitely bears thinking about > bit.ly/2QAF3g1 how does our presence/tourism affect wild landscapes? Not a straightforward conversation with lots of factors that feed into it.....
Stumbled upon this great hidden den whilst walking on Rosneath at the weekend filled with shells on strings and cobbled together loose parts. Love the finding a wee special place that someone obvs loves.
Like fire? Like me? here's me, telling you , how to start one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We also have an ace video from @BalticAP ‘FIVE MINUTE FIRES’ film featuring Isla from @loveearthtime

IMPORTANT 👏 RESOURCE 👏 Good outdoor engagement starts w staff and can change children's lives (not to mention the practitioners') Small steps turn to big ones and acknowledging the problems means you can change them 🌱🌿🌳
Not everyone loves #Outdoorplay ⛈️🤸♂️🌈 Even thought of going outdoors can be a challenge for some #ELC practitioners. Do you like the idea but then get stuck? Do you have a team mate whose comfort zone is inside? This weeks #TuesdayTips are just for you! inspiringscotland.org.uk/thr…

It took so long to find an outdoor men's jacket that wasn't a dark colour. TK MAXX is my fave and 12.99 decathlon sailing trousers that have lasted far longer than expecte.
Gotta love the LAYERS! Me and Hamish rockin' the winter wear 😆 Although @mikeywestcott was very grateful for my spare @KeelaOutdoors trousers at #EdinburghForestKindergarten @natsywhite you got fave #outdoorplay gear??
CATEGORY IS. RAINY DAY REALNESS OUTDOOR COUTURE. I will take any and all opportunities to shoehorn a Ru Paul tune into an outdoor context.

Ahhhh yasss , I'm so ready to spend the rest of my life wearing a backwards cap and rapping about cross contamination 😂😂😂
Brilliant! @HamishOrr you may have a new calling... Instead of the Singing Kettle you're like the Preventin' Infection Patrol
