I'm HalxDocs — backend engineer building in Go. I build tools I need and tools others need too then ship them. Open to freelance and contract work in APIs, SaaS backends, and dev tools. Shipped more than a few this year. Here are 3: reqit — a local-first, git-native API client. Built in Go + Wails + React. HTTP, REST, GraphQL, SSE, WebSockets, mTLS client auth, collection runner, mock server, BYOK AI layer. Postman, but yours. 500+ downloads so far. DLQ Inspector — Go CLI for inspecting, patching, and safely replaying failed messages stuck in dead-letter queues. RabbitMQ + Redis Streams now, Kafka/SQS next. Dry-run by default because I don't trust bulk replays, including my own. 274Lab — JAMB/UTME exam prep platform for Nigerian students. React + Firebase. Timed quizzes, weak-topic detection, leaderboards, ₦800 subscription. Working on scaling it for exam-day traffic spikes. Three different problems, one thread: build the tool you wish existed, then ship it. More coming.

This is my last week at Linear. It was a privilege to work with such a talented team for the last two years. Here are a few of my favorite things I helped create during my time here:

Reqit just crossed 700+ downloads and 70 stars. Built as a local-first, Git-native API client. No cloud, no account, just your APIs and your workflow. Appreciate everyone supporting it. More to come. reqit.dev

Been applying for software roles lately. React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL. Remote roles, contracts, freelance gigs, I'm open. If you're hiring or know someone who is, send them my way. Thank you. Portfolio: spectra010s.com

Built ROVE, a simple MCP tool on @bachs_hq that lets AI agents make payments. While watching a YC podcast about autonomous AI agents, I wondered how cool it would be if AI agents could make payments. Só I built Rove. Rove’s architecture is pretty simple: the agent sends a payment request through the MCP to ROVE’s gateway, which validates it and routes it to the payment provider. That’s it, for now. Next, I want to test ROVE against application paywalls and see how far I can take it. Stuff like this just goes to back YC’s new moat: “Build what agents want.” If the experiments go well, I’ll open-source ROVE once I’m done.

You can go from a winning position to a losing one in just one move; be very careful. Especially when it's all going well

reqit v2.4.0 is out 🎉 It now tells you whether your data has actually been backed up — sync errors used to be swallowed, so a broken backup looked like a working one. Also fixed a listener crash, 0ms timings on fast requests, and long URLs getting cut off. reqit[dot]dev

Well, I built it! 🥳🥤 Introducing Buy Me a Malt 🍻 A simple way for people to support your work, appreciate your effort, or just buy you a malt. Whether you're a creator, developer, designer, or someone who simply deserves a little appreciation, you can create your own page and start receiving support. No complicated setup. Just create your page, share your link, and let people show you some love. Built entirely on @Dbriij's infrastructure, from domain, hosting, database, emailing, to asset storage. Payments powered by @BachsHQ (of course ❤️). Give it a try: buymeamalt.com And yes, you can buy me a malt too, please! 😂 buymeamalt.com/@unclebigbay
