Let me share a personal reflection after posting every day for the last 40 days about the Future of Health Conference, and now just 10 days.
Many of you know my story of how I started
Because I believe the right conversations, in the right rooms, at the right time, can change the direction of a health system.
The @nighealthwatch #FHC2026 is where it's happening & I am not just attending; I am helping build it.
Now is the time for you to get your ticket,

What will threaten our health most between now and 2100?
At the @WorldHealthSmt 2026 in Berlin, @TheLancet Commission launched findings identifying 17 catastrophic threats to human health, two of which carry a non-zero risk of human extinction.
From climate change and pandemics to drug-resistant infections and collapsing health aid, the risks are interconnected. But the Commission says policy, investment and innovation could still change the outcome.
What governments do next matters.

“A nation cannot thrive when its people are perpetually exposed to preventable societal hazards, health crises and economic shock.”
When I was invited to share my vision of The Nigeria I Want, I found myself returning to a simple conviction: the Nigeria we hope to build must be one where health, dignity and opportunity are not privileges determined by where a person is born or what they can afford.
I imagine a Nigeria where our investments in people begin early, where our healthcare systems are resilient, where leadership is accountable, where evidence informs policy, and where women and young people have a meaningful seat at the table.
Most importantly, I imagine a Nigeria where our institutions are strong enough to turn the extraordinary resilience and potential of our people into lasting progress.
I was honoured to share this vision alongside ten remarkable Nigerian women in this publication.
The Nigeria I want is not an impossible Nigeria. It is a Nigeria we can build with deliberate choices, political courage and sustained commitment.
Thank you @kemi_ajumobi @IWAfrica for this feature @MobilePunch
Now, over to you: what does the Nigeria you want look like?

The @WHO recommends that countries apply national excise taxes to at least one type of sugary drink to help reduce consumption and protect public health.
Nigeria must go further by strengthening health taxes that discourage excessive sugar consumption and support a healthier population. It is time to make health taxes a stronger part of Nigeria’s public health agenda.
