A wonderful tribute from @RaysBaseball standout Chandler Simpson to his father: “My dad is everything. He's why I am the man I am today, and he's exemplified work ethic and perseverance and grit throughout my whole life.” #Postseason

Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment.
Secretary Hegseth’s plan to livestream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite. The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider.

What started as a grassroots effort to put Raleigh on Major League Baseball’s expansion radar has grown into a legitimate bid backed by state leaders, a billionaire-led ownership group, and national recognition as one of MLB’s top expansion markets. Now, as the opportunity becomes more real than ever, it’s time to unite the entire state behind one shared vision to bring MLB2NC.

Just finished "Nolan" by Tim Brown. @ByTimBrown perfectly captured the essence of my dad as a player and a man. His book brought back so many wonderful memories. Especially, those shared by former teammates and friends. Great job Tim!
