Spoke to the Mine manager of local gold mine yesterday , mid-large operation. Have fuel contracts in place but still very concerned about supply in the medium term. If they can’t get it, I’ve got no hope. It’ll be a mess for resource and Ag unless it’s sorted asap.

What is unbelievably dumb is the blind acceptance the ETrucks can do the same job as other trucks, that there are enough being built to do it, that the cost of ownership compares and there is the infrastructure to support them. It's all rose coloured glasses, pie in the sky stuff.

The Prime Minister was just asked in Question Time if the government would cut fuel excise tax, noting that in Southwestern Sydney it's now $3.15 a litre. @AlboMP said that unspecified tax cuts, Medicare discounts and wiping student debt would help. So that would be a no.
