Is your sump pump connected correctly?
Sump pumps help remove water from around your home's foundation. They should discharge to your yard or into the stormwater system, not the wastewater system.
Check out these examples of correct and incorrect sump pump connections and learn what steps you can take to help protect your property from flooding.

Protect our wastewater system by flushing only the 3 Ps.
Flushing anything other than pee, poo, and toilet paper can lead to clogged pipes, sewer backups, and increased maintenance costs. Wipes, diapers, floss, cotton swabs, and menstrual products belong in the garbage, not the toilet.
Do your part to prevent blockages and sewer backups. Flush only what belongs.
