Haven’t posted in forever but are there any IR nurses out there or anyone who left the ED for something else? Thank you!

Me again, trying to figure out what I wanna be when I grow up. Do any of my friends work in IR, Cath lab or EP lab? Thanks in advance

Anyways the past few months as an RN have been amazing. I look forward to going to work and maybe that’ll change but I’m just going to enjoy this high while I can 😅

Some days I realize the ED is where I’m meant to be. Today was one of those days 🥲

Yo I’m still having a blast of a time at this new ER. Some say it’s just because I’m new but whatevs. Hope everyone has been well on the bird app!

The ER is such a beast but dude I’m absolutely thriving and having a blast. My coworkers are just great vibes and we are doing the damn thing! 😎

I’m so excited to learn everything I can. It’s so weird seeing “RN” next to my name after seeing “LPN” for 6 years lol 😂 New ER, New role, New people. So very excited as what is to come. Never thought I’d be here. Sorry I’ve been mia as I’ve just been prioritizing school/life

Woke my patient up to let her know I was putting o2 on her. Facial droop, right sided weakness, expressive aphasia. Code fast initiated. Charge comes to me and my preceptor and says. “Wow Zac not bad for day 2 as an RN” Man I know 18 year old me would be so proud 🥲

Very important question for the ladies. If a guy goes to shake your hand in a work setting would you rather him give you the firm “manly” handshake or that little gentle half handed shake? I need answers pls and thx

Asking this because some of my lady friends are split and say it’s cringe when a dude gives them the “squeeze” and some say it’s cringe when a dude does the little “half handed finger grab” lol 😂

Story time! Last night I had the pleasure to be the nurse for this really kind middle aged man who was in a motor vehicle accident. He shared some very personal things about himself to me, who is a total stranger to him by the way, I won’t go into all of the exact details..

I was there for him on one of his hardest of days. He told me I was a good nurse, a good man, and that I will go far in life. The key take away that I’m trying to get across here is that the cliché saying of you never know what someone else is going through is so very true.

So just be kind please. A simple gesture may just have rippling effects for people. Merry Christmas everyone.
