A few months ago, LAPD detention officers beat and killed a man in mental health crisis.
Have any elected politicians spoken out about this?

A Georgia man gets tased by Coweta County deputies at a gas station over a seatbelt violation—on private property where the law doesn’t even apply. Charges dropped. He sues for excessive force.
While that lawsuit is pending, the same sheriff’s office runs his plate through Flock 5 times over 197 days, querying 6,000+ camera networks nationwide. Justifications entered: “info” and “37.”
He felt followed and watched near his home and business. Ended a 6-year contract servicing another PD’s vehicles because he no longer felt safe.
This is exactly what Flock enables: retaliation against people who challenge them.

🚨 A family opened their back door to let their dog out... and a cop they didn't know was there KILLED her in five seconds.
Then he pointed his gun at her OWNER.
Her name was Tesla. A 3-year-old black Lab from Rochester, New York.
October 19th, 2018. Police were chasing two suspects through backyards.
They already had them in CUFFS. It was OVER.
But Officer Javier Algarin hopped the Dempsey family's fence AGAIN.
No warrant. No knock. Nobody inside even knew he was there.
Three seconds later, Charles Dempsey opened the back door.
Tesla ran off her OWN porch into her OWN backyard.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hey!"
BANG. BANG.
Five seconds. She was DEAD.
Then he turned the gun on Charles.
"LEAVE MY PROPERTY!" Charles screamed.
"Get back!" the officer yelled.
Years later, under oath:
Could this have been avoided if you'd just knocked and asked permission?
His answer: "Yes."
The family fought for seven years.
A federal jury found him PERSONALLY liable. $125,000.
Rochester's training? "DELIBERATE INDIFFERENCE."
At least 6 dogs killed by that department from 2017 to 2019.
And that officer?
He's STILL on the job.
In 5 days it'll be EIGHT YEARS since Tesla died in her own yard.
HOW IS HE STILL WEARING A BADGE?!!!!!!

Good rule of thumb: if it takes a police officer 15 seconds to walk over and tell you that you're interfering with a traffic stop, you're not interfering.
The First Amendment protects the right to record law enforcement officers performing their duties in public.

An ICE agent in Texas ran down and ran over a man this weekend.
Then, ICE lied about it: "Parra-Hernandez ran in front of an ICE vehicle and was struck."

Haley Smallwood's ex was PICKING up his things. The officer CAME on a civil standby.
She WARNED him dogs were inside. More than ONCE.
Max, her Rottweiler, CAME out. She REACHED for him.
About eight SHOTS rang out inside her HOME.
A friend ASKED, "Did the dog bite you?" He SAID no.
Kids were CRYING in the next room. Her son CAME home to find his dogs gone.
He's charged with a MISDEMEANOR. He still WEARS the badge.

🚨 Border Patrol dismisses the Constitution like it’s an inconvenience.
This is exactly why people stop respecting law enforcement and Border Patrol, because half the time they’re not enforcing the law, they’re freestyling it.

🚨 A bruised ego. A brutal beating.
In June 2023, Warren cop Matthew Rodriguez punched 19-year-old Jaquwan Smith and slammed his head into the jail floor after an exchange of words. Smith wasn’t physically resisting.
Other cops piled onto Smith. His lawsuit alleges they held him down while Rodriguez continued the assault.
UPDATE: Rodriguez was fired. In September 2024, he received just ONE YEAR AND ONE DAY in federal prison. He also admitted falsifying his report to cover it up.
Imagine beating a cop, then getting that sentence.

🔥 Six seconds > 42 shots fired
In 2020, a wanted suspect told officers he’d “shoot it out.” 5 cops answered with 42 rounds, hitting him 6 times and even striking the fleeing car of his gf. This shoot first, question later pattern hasn’t aged a day.

🚨 FORT WAYNE: A police officer tells a person filming an arrest: “If you don’t want to get involved, you’d better disappear.” The man on the ground says he cannot breathe. An officer says he is lucky he did not get more.
The clip is Saturday, about 12:30 a.m., Barr and Dewald. The man in cuffs is Rahiem Kubisty, 45.
Police say he ran from a traffic stop. The charges on him are resisting, fleeing, leaving the scene, and driving as a habitual traffic offender.
On the recording he asks for an ambulance. An officer says, “What do you need an ambulance for, big dog?” then “You ran from us.” After Kubisty says he did not deserve to get punched, an officer says, “You’re lucky you didn’t get more.”
Chief P.J. Smith said people can record and that those comments are under review. Two officers are on restrictive duty. FWPD has not named them. The chief said the review could take about a month, then bodycam comes out.
I cannot find a charging sheet on the officer who said “disappear.” Kubisty is the only defendant on a public file I can point to.

A police officer in California was fired after sharing Flock camera data with his cousin, who was accused of domestic violence, and then helped him track down his accuser.
Neither the officer nor the cousin have been criminally charged.
We've seen police use Flock cameras to stalk their exes, but this may be the first time that a cop was caught sharing data with a suspect.

Police shoot driver's puppy dog during traffic stop—in middle of crowded store parking lot.
"The dog was just walking towards him and the cop shot the dog," said witness.
"Then I personally saw cop laughing on the phone about it right after."
"He drew his weapon instantly and that was his first move."
Police officer continues to hold the driver at gunpoint—with gun out and pointed directly at him.
Cop claimed he pulled the man over because he couldn't read his license plate.
The gunshot went through the dog's lung—awaiting surgery in an oxygen chamber.
Incident occurred at a Dollar General parking lot in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
