THREAD: CROWD SIZE: Okay look. For years now, Donald and the GOP have been lying about crowd size. They’ve been lying about how many people call them and tell them they love them. They’ve been lying about the size of their fan base. There’s a reason for this. 1/

The Time on Task feature is now live on ADAPT. Soon to be integrated into the Learning Analytics dashboard (along with #OER textbook student activity). More about that later.
In the grade book you'll now see a Time Spent toggle in the gradebook. Toggling this switch will show you how much time a student has spent on an assignment (a similar view was recently introduced at the assignment level).

An urgent question from @halplotkin: "how will free societies in the digital era preserve and extend the opportunities for upward economic mobility that characterized and strengthened free societies in the predigital age?" #HigherEd

I agree, though increasingly "tech policy" is too expansive to be useful as a category. There are technological affordances or developments relevant to almost every area of public policy.
Agricultural policy is tech policy. Some examples: - automated tractors that farmers can't repair - seeds protected by IP - techniques of precision agriculture that require monocropping - farms and farmers as sources of data - cyber-physical infrastructure vulnerable to attack

It doesn’t get worse than this… The question isn’t what intelligence Trump was planning to sell- it is what has he already sold, and how many Americans have been killed because of that?

So, like, what do we do after some loans are cancelled? A whole bunch of schools still leave the vast majority of students owing more than the amount they initially borrowed, even five years after leaving the institution. How do we ensure this doesn't happen in the future?
